Guyver 1st Gear November 29, 2007 Author Share November 29, 2007 Dear all, Apparently from the exposure of Macbook and Macbook Pro .... I find that Mac is really quite a need piece of equipment. So just would like to have some feedback here .... since Sitex is just round the corner. bro, u go any apple retailer and play play a while... beware its addictive.. osX has a very simple GUI.. much much simpler than windoze... doesn't hang on u when u working or at play... its performance doesn't slow down like windoze. updates are rather often.. macbook are more than enough for most users... unless u need a bigger on board LCD. if u plan to use it in office or home, u could get a bigger monitor like 20" or even bigger ones... What I hate about Mac is that they integrate the CPU and LCD all in one ... so end up cannot buy cheaper LCD outside. Yah .... thinks Macbook's 13" and 14" is pretty ok. But screen >15" ... would be luxury .... I must say that Mac is very simple to use ....
Guyver 1st Gear November 29, 2007 Author Share November 29, 2007 You buy a Mac, you also get a PC for free. Use Bootcamp to run XP/Vista natively or Parallel Desktop where you run XP/Vista within OSX. http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/ Wah ... but heard that such emulation is quite slow .... Chromas 1st Gear November 29, 2007 Share November 29, 2007 The Macbook Pros are a thing to have. Mine was the last generation of PowerPC chipset, just before the Intel Macs came out. At first, after 3 days of using it, I almost wanted to chuck it out of the window and get myself a Windows machine. Tried selling it off at a great steal on the web but nobody wanted to buy it. In the end, I kept it and over time, came to discover A LOT of its wonderful features and that it was FAST !!! No severe waiting issues like Windows environment, no bluescreen, doesn't hang on me, and the interface was JUST FANTASTIC I don't even need a mouse as the trackpad can be used with either one or two fingers to do different functions. It was amazing to me. I even got myself a AppleTV now and can connect my Macbook Pro with its iTunes library via WIFI over to my AppleTV in the living room and watch and listen to all the content I have on my network without having to burn CDs or whatever. Best part is that the wiring is so neat, unlike a PC which has all sort of wires running around.
