Bentwy Neutral Newbie December 13, 2007 Share December 13, 2007 what graphics card is your gf on? if it's anything above a 7800 equivalent, plus on a dual core equivalent, you'll need more than 400W. also, any overclocking? i have my CPU on it's own socket. monitor, speakers etc. can share but CPU better not. but do get a surge protector anyway. i know how it feels. hang tough. Slowmo Clutched December 13, 2007 Share December 13, 2007 i'm starting to think its the unclean electric supply at her place.... any way to rectify? her dad insists its the comp having prob... bring her comp to another location to try, also maybe to your house... or do a quick experiment, turn off all electric equipment in the house except the comp. Things like fridge, a/c....everything. what I encounter before is sometimes PSU is too sensitive.... so will stop supplying power... change other PSU brand, can work liao. Then the old PSU use another customer site, swee swee.
Kklee 6th Gear December 14, 2007 Share December 14, 2007 Signal to upgrade?!
Jezter Neutral Newbie December 14, 2007 Author Share December 14, 2007 ok... think either the PSU too sensitive or her house power cant supply the juice.. cos the freaking pc cant work again!!!! argh.... suspect i can use it last night cos the was residue charge in the cpu while it was working at my place...cos it simply refuse to work this morning again. utter frustration.. cos the original casing PSU also have prob, and its not those high capacity 400W ones we added.
