  1. Hi all, If you have taken a car loan from a bank which is higher than the 50% that you are allowed to, you have to pay gst for the additional loan you take? I heard it's the industry standard and it's the bank that charges this surcharge. Anyone else encounter this before? Thanks!

  3. Hmmmm............. I had experienced some encounters in MY ... Yahoo news: Zuji’s Poll Reveals 1 out of 5 Singaporean Travelers Encountered Spirit and Ghosts! By Ling Poh Lean | Vulcan Post Growing up in Asia, I’ve learnt my fair share of traditional superstitions. Singaporeans have quite a few superstitious customs that follow us through our daily lives, and even when we are on holiday! Some Singaporean travellers would do things like knock on the hotel room door before entering or place their sandal in opposite directions to keep unwanted ‘guests’ away. Well, the recent poll by Zuji Singapore just proved that you have every reason to be worried. According to a poll released on Monday (Sept1), one out of five Singapore-based travelers have encountered ghosts and spirits while travelling. Perhaps our customs don’t work as well as we hoped. The poll also revealed that 60 per cent of the 1,629 Singapore-based surveyed travelers believe in performing their own rituals when travelling, with 47 per cent saying that they will knock on the door of their hotel room before they enter it. This practice is widely known as a gesture to show respect for spirits that “stay” in the room. Some 15 per cent of the respondents also found people who are heavily tattooed and pierced bizarre, while 14 per cent considered the local customs, rituals, and festivals as their bizarre sightings while travelling. All these bizarre sightings or activities were mostly found in Asia with Thailand topping the list as most bizarre, followed by Malaysia and Indonesia. Since Singapore-based travelers are pretty much in love with the jet-setting lifestyle, 43 per cent of the respondants say that their biggest vacation nightmare is flight cancellation. Despite this, only 45 per cent say they will purchase travel insurance, and they will only do so when the insurance is affordable. Second on the list of the vacation woes is when one has an uneasy stomach which need a 24 hour washroom access. link: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/zuji-poll-reveals-1-5-063033281.html

  7. At my current open-space carpark, I always run out of place to park when I come home at night. As I have to work late rather frequently, it is really inconvenient. I understand that this is a common scenario with open-space carparks. Therefore, I am contemplating buying a flat with MSCP. To those who park at MSCP, can you guys tell me if you have ever run out of a lot to park if you come home late at night (1~2 am)? No place to park at all - not even on the highest floor?

  9. In Singapore, I was stuck for 40 mins + on the Telok Blangah viaduct. At that time, the viaduct was only half completed and the narrow exit was blocked by an accident lorry. A tree branch had fallen and crushed the lorry's cabin. In Beijing, I was stuck 1 hr+ on about 1km of highway. There was no accident, just too many cars and poor road design. Luckily I went to wee wee before the trip. Getting stuck for so long in a stuffy car made me carsick though.
  10. have you encountered racisim in other countries? what was you reaction and how do you feel after that? we will not talk about singapore as this may breach the forum guidelines.
  11. Was driving this morning along Dunearn Road (after Eng Neo) around 730am. Those who use this road will know that it is a busy stretch especially nearer to NJC and Hwa Chong. So I was on the extreme right lane, when all of sudden, found myself driving behind a cyclist straddling between lanes 2 & 3! And the cyclist just rode on nonchalantly, with no intention of switching back to leftmost lane. I think this is pretty inconsiderate because you could see the traffic being hindered by the cyclist's actions. Not sure if this chap is doing this everyday ... this is my first time encountering this.

  13. Feedback / Complaint on Seah Lee Cheng Cecilia (1 Yio Chu Kang Road) Yesterday (26/Sep/07) at about 130pm, I went to the above location to close my 2 daughters accounts. I'm the 1st customer queuing while the 2 counters each serving their customers. I waiting patiently for my turn. Just then, a auntie walked in & queued behind me. Both waited for about 10 - 15 mins. Suddenly, this auntie walked infront of me, standing infront of an empty counter. I knew - she intended to jump my queue. I was thinking perhaps she will failed this attempt since I'm the customer whom walked in before her. We waited for another less than 10mins impatiently. And to my horror, this Customer Service Ms Cecilia attended to the auntie whom jumped my queue!!! Now, my questions & feedbacks are : - 1) RHB has 6 committments, but where are they? Ms Cecilia has failed all these 6 committments to the customers she has attended. No smile, no greeting, though is not an issue to me. 2) Should Ms Cecilia attend to me 1st or to the auntie whom jumped queue 1st??? 3) Should the waiting time be shorten & customer service improve their speeding & performance? Honestly, as RHB customer, I'm very dissapointed about RHB & Ms Cecilia way of handling their customers. She adopted a very poor customer service & has ruin RHB's reputation.. (I may sound overboard but it's true) If RHB staffs are unable to fulfill the 6 committments, advise to remove these clauses will be much more better, don't you agree? Well, this feedback may sound rude to you, but if you put your shoe in your customers' shoes, you will feel the same as me. I hope RHB Management will seriously look into this matter & also to review Ms Cecilia's performance seriously.

  15. This morning, when I started up my engine, my radio powered up as per normal. However, after a few seconds, everything went dead. I noticed that the CD player was still playing, but the HU shut down, an there was no display at all. However, I was still able to eject and insert CDs into the disc changer. Shutting down the engine didn't help at all. The disc was still playing, and the HU was still dead. As a last resort, I took out the fuse and placed it back again. It was only then that the radio came back to life. Anyone else encountered this before as well? Wonder what c**p did Starsauto put there.
