Fondue Neutral Newbie December 18, 2007 Share December 18, 2007 (edited) Don't like to looks of the last few generations og Accorf from KAH Motors Lexus IS rear legroom too small for my liking, but V6 is sweet Passat quality have been improving generation after generation. Good balance between power and space. Edited December 18, 2007 by Fondue
Typhoonz 4th Gear December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 Passat for me...
Watwheels Supersonic December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 The brand new Accord, they claim it's the biggest Accord ever. Worth a look. IS250...? Nah. I don't like re-badged Toyotas with such premium price. Passat is worth a look cos of the Golf GTI engine.
Dennisk Clutched December 19, 2007 Author Share December 19, 2007 (edited) is it true that passat resale value is lower than IS250 and accord? Edited December 19, 2007 by Dennisk
Dennisk Clutched December 19, 2007 Author Share December 19, 2007 yup, Although the car is running on V6 but legroom is not impressive.
Dennisk Clutched December 19, 2007 Author Share December 19, 2007 i went over to KAH motor to take a look. It's big BUT the styling of the car . i find it too squarish
Alfpoon Clutched December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 the backside of the accord looks really big!
Typhoonz 4th Gear December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 NOt too sure about that but what I know is that the feel and the drive is definitely different from the Accord... Go and have a test drive...
Azarael Clutched December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 Personally, the accord is too expensive at 106K for the 2.4 model. nice car, nice interior and space but the front looks boring and the backside frumpy...still if i could replace the front grill with a sports version it would rock...... the lexus is cramp, but people who think it is a rebadged toyota are being prejudiced. the 2008 model has slightly better legroom. Remember lexus not longer has toyota equivalents anymore as it is a stand alone brand. Aftersales and reliabilty is top notch compared to some ..... brands IMHO. Drive it and see for yourself, but if u have a maid and more than one kid, then dont consider it. it's FC is around 10-11, i get 11 km/L The passant has a great engine but it is impossible to get a 12.9 km/L FC for it if my friend's golf GTI is getting 10km/L and he doesnt drive like a madman. Mods are more possible for the TC car and build quality is great. good choice for a conti IMHO tough choice to make but it is a enjoyable problem to have.... Galantspeedz Turbocharged December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 (edited) if resale is 1st priority, then all conti cars are out. period! go ask other forum ba. my guess is most that chose the passat in your poll aint driving conti. i may be wrong though Edited December 20, 2007 by Galantspeedz
Nullifi3d 4th Gear December 22, 2007 Share December 22, 2007 I have to disagree with you, electronic problems can be prone to lets say a Corolla and not necessarily to a German marque. I think you are mistaken because the Italians have a colourful history of electronic problems, i know cos my dad used to own 1 Fiat and 2 Lancias. Now that's a case of "one problem leads to another problem" issues. So far i've never heard any major issues with German electricals, they've probably got the best track-record in the whole of Europe. ↡ Advertisement
