RAM/MicroSD issues

Whatever microSD card you get, don't get Sandisk. I've got 2 failed on me that was used on my wife's mobile phone & also personally know a colleague's Sandisk also failed.

Even-though it's under warranty, their RMA process is even more complex that my company's firewall RMA process.

It just does not make sense for me to support such nonsensical poor quality & spending additional time to follow their complex RMA process.

Have since switched to Toshiba, so far so good.

Update you guys here.

Just took the Taobao sourced Samsung Evo+ 64gb microsd from my car cam to test it.

63+ gb capacity filled almost to the brim. Able to play randomly selected video clips straight from the card.

Looking alright.

If the incoming 128gb Evo+ works as well, will update you guys.

seems like between u, vratenza and adrianli, quite a few sandisk failures. Time to buy from samsung then.

Can get from here as well. No need to go through the hassle of taobao unless you are also getting stuff from taobao anyway.

this one sounds bit fishy. The microSD to SD card adaptor have to pay extra 2 bucks?

I can't remember for the Evo. But aren't these standard within the same package?

yeah, used to buy from Qoo10 but the price difference of $20 made me decide to try taobao.

You are right also, I got some other stuff to add on to the 1kg minimum shipping weight charge.

This option is not for everyone and for those who are not prepared to risk getting a fake from Taobao.

Usually its standard. But I have seen these cards being sold without the adaptors packaged in before as well.

Used to buy solely from them.... had to RMA 1 with them, no question asked so long as I produced the receipt. Another corrupted but I lost my receipt, so did not try to RMA. Both Sandisk ultra microsd.

with the advert of Qoo10, I slowly moved away from physical shops...don't want to waste time travelling down to SLS..parking is not cheap plus ERP...eats into whatever savings you might initially enjoy.

I always buy from this shop, just to share.

I read that the pro series will benefit those 4K recordings more.

for full HD, Evo more than suffice speed wise.

the only think you need to consider is heat in car cam usage. the plus series supposedly can withstand heat and moisture better

I think there is a pro+ that has speed of the pro with added heat resistance.

Update on the taobao sourced Samsung Evo+ microSD 128gb.

Packaging looks legit. The card itself looks legit.

Most important is the write/verify test that was done.  The figures are pretty close to the official stats.

I would say that getting from taobao is defintiely not risk free but I guess I am lucky 2 rounds (had a prior 64gb Evo+ used on my car cam with no issues at all although I was too lazy to put it to the write verify integrity speed test)

Do your due diligence and homework before buying from taobao.
