Yes, You are right it's JABATAN PENGANGKUTAN JALAN MALAYSIA (JPJ), equivalent of LTA in Singapore. this is their website: http://www.jpj.gov.my/ There is a Blacklists enquiries that contains only offenders / vehicles with summons which have been issued but the offenders have failed to settle their fines after a specified period as decided by the authorities.

what's wrong with msian driving sg car??... [dizzy] there r thousands out there, daily driving in and out... [rolleyes]

provided u r refering to those local msian who is not a PR and does not have a valid sg license, then it's a different story maybe (i dont know it is that a crime in the first place..)...... as for msian PR, it's a must to have sg license to drive sg car mah...

or r u refering to those "rumors" about Msian PR with NO MY license (since msian has to "cancel" their MY license when coverting to sg license) kena big time when driving there??... [confused]

CNY coming .... they need to earn some Ang Bao money also.

From experience, JB should be avoided nearer the CNY period, or be prepared to kenna broken windows or summon from the sky. [:/]

just caught in a roadblock in jb and got caught with my headlight(Hid)and got issue a summon but there no state whats the fine but only state to attend court at march....

anyone had this kind of summon and how to deal with it..... [dizzy]

Maybe SG polis scared kenna hantam by those MY hooligans. They not so "soft" like us. [sweatdrop]

Whack until unconscious & quickly run back to MY. Next time come in with a different car. [sly]

If they refused $$$...could means that it was a real operation and they have some official from a higher level around. I have seen a road block for speeding....all those kenna stopped all received ticket...very fast...not much talk.

Agree, HID and dark tint are the 'hot' offenses.

For those who kenna, I suggest you check JBJ website or M'sia high Comm for clarification before going to JB to settle. The last time I checked with JBJ KL last June, I was told the dark tint does not affect S'pore car. At least that was their stand then.

=============================

Ya. After some tok here & tok there, they "decided" not to penalise SG cars for the darker tint as our tinting regulations is slightly different from theirs.

Just like our number plate is also different from theirs but our polis do not take action on them for these minor infringements.

U sometimes even see Thai vehicles come here & MY. Their vehicles got so many things which cannot pass our & MY laws but they close one eye.

Msian can drive SG car in SG & MY but Sporean can only drive MY car in MY.

That is why last time got issue about many Msians buy our OPC so cheap & drive like normal car in MY. Then got pple complain & MY polis start to take action.

Those OPC can even drive into SG without paying the $30 entry fee. Just put $20 OPC coupon can save S$10 already. [sly]

seriously, im not aware about the OPC car own by MY local and driving there is cheaper?? didnt really calculate much but in long run, how to justify the dep and 10yrs paper stuff and im quite sure, not worth it leh..

btw, it sounds moronic to me if there is a rule about "Sporean can only drive MY car in MY" since daily, they are thousands of sporean driving sg car into my leh...

anyway, those stoopid rules sometimes very confusing when both sides has different story on same topic on different day... [laugh]
