Rojak_king_2005 Neutral Newbie January 28, 2008 Share January 28, 2008 (edited) HIDs and dark tinted cars are the most wanted in Msia now. Quite surprise though as they don't want coffee $$$ from Singapore cars and insisted that you attend court for that. The summon is from JBJ or Traffic police? Try to make a trip to their office first before the court's date to settle as to avoid further trouble. Meanwhile I can help you check with my Msia friends on the penalty. Silver_blade Turbocharged January 28, 2008 Share January 28, 2008 (edited) If they refused $$$...could means that it was a real operation and they have some official from a higher level around. I have seen a road block for speeding....all those kenna stopped all received ticket...very fast...not much talk. Agree, HID and dark tint are the 'hot' offenses. For those who kenna, I suggest you check JBJ website or M'sia high Comm for clarification before going to JB to settle. The last time I checked with JBJ KL last June, I was told the dark tint does not affect S'pore car. At least that was their stand then. Circuit Clutched January 29, 2008 Share January 29, 2008 (edited) refuse money.. u wait long long... to mi bigger ranks = bigger bribe. i ganna a accident at JB before... push mi to a inspector... then hav to bribe 600rm jus to make mi 'nv appear at all' - then there is my fault to cause the accident. even court i seen , jus before enter, they might ask u 'wanna neg?' then he will go in court on ur behalf , then come out and say a certain amt to bribe. (confirm min 3 digit ones... jus to make coffee for the higher pple inside), u pay... u can go liao. issue recipts some more ... Paikia_rav Neutral Newbie January 29, 2008 Share January 29, 2008 Ya, I remember that JBJ clarified that tinted windows ruling does not apply to SG cars (for the time being). And JBJ 'usually' dun play play one.... those who always look out to SG cars to make a quick buck are the local TP and streetwalk mata. Many years back I just washed my car at NY Hotel stretch, turned out only kena stopped and said I speeding..... huh??? And with the high profile bribing case involving top judges and Lingam, reckon they should ease down a bit.

Schmi Clutched January 29, 2008 Share January 29, 2008 How about trying to write in and plead innocence? Offer to pay by cheque. If never hear from them, write again and cc Comissioner of Police Johor. Anyway if you don't pay, I'm wondering how efficient they are to catch you second time around if you go up again. But I guess better not play the fool....
