Oh, you are not aware of this huh? laugh.gif

For MT, you can control your car as in you want it to stop anytime and anywhere but for AT, you cannot do that as everything is control by the AT gearbox and ECU, can you stop anytime and anywhere?

The answer is "NO", AT vehicles have a braking distance and it is longer than MT vehicles.

Next, for AT gearbox, if your gearbox is spoilt as in you cannot engage any gear, can your vehicle still move compared to MT gearbox?

The answer is also "NO", MT vehicle even if certain gear not able to engage, you can still put to any gear besides the Reverse gear and rev on the accelerator to push the car moving.

i dunno whether i should say this... but i noticed some people who drive china or korean brands appear to be too overly 'patriotic' and 'defensive' about their cars.

no qualms over the cars... cheap and good value is indeed an advantage in sg... but sometimes these owners make themselves look pretty dumb.... [hur]

oh well [rolleyes]

Thanks and I do not want to win or be any GURU but just stating the facts about MT vehicles.

From day 1 when I pass my driving lesson, I have been driving MT vehicles till now and in my family, anyone in my family like my sister or aunt will still prefer driving MT vehicles, no AT vehicles preferred.

Importantly, MT vehicles are also cheaper in maintenance and if you were to drive up to 10 years, MT vehicles are able to do that without any problem with the gearbox unlike AT vehicles, this is the fact. thumbsup.gif
