I can't help but wonder, what is it that the government expected us as normal citizens to do, that could had prevented the escape at the first place.

Further there isn't very much more we can do now, if he is meant to be easily caught, they would had got him within the first 48 hours.

It's not a complacent or not issue at all, they are just using this to confuse the issue.

And the most complacent of all is still keeping his job and enjoying the millions that came with it [thumbsdown]

Some more got his kakis to blame it on the lowest rank and file personnel.

If this is the sort of quality that the 'best' can dish out, Singapore is doomed.

But MM Lee disagreed that the Government deserved to be blamed. He said: 'Complacency sets in when a people have not suffered any shock or setback for a long time.'

with this statement...the government will get a shock and setback the next election..lost 1 or 2 GRC at least....its been a loooooooonnnnnnnnngggggggg complacency from our government....can give out money in form of investment but cant stop inflation for the citizen....

he had been protecting his son for too lonnnnnnnnnggggggggggg [thumbsdown]

malaysia election is a good wake up call for us....... [thumbsup]

This is what make me boil when I read MnM statement. Blame on complancy on peasant, and specifically have to mentiioned the gahment not to be blamed. When WKS deliver his "I'm sorry it happenes" statement with a smirk on his face, isn't that a sign of complacent, like as if it just matter of fact. Remember when as a student, if we apologise to elders or teacher with a smile, we get further scolding..
