It is a method of choice.. If you take any comestic surgery, prepare for any complications..

My complication include double vision at night and dry eye.. Halos and glare disappear within 3 months.. Dry eye take 9 month, even now still have a bit.. But most important is not to have any infection within the first 1 month.. Not much problem driving at night even with halo and glare.. Just dun open your eye so big..

If jogging type, 5 days later.. Not that i jog, but have to go RT.. sweatdrop.gif Be careful not to let sweat get into eye.. maybe can wear headband..

If contact sport like football, basketball type, i wait for 3 month.. i more kiasi.. very worried that any heading or elbow will hit my flap out of place.. then jiak lak.. Or you can buy those sport goggle like Edgar Davis..

As for water sport like swimming, i have not swim since the surgery.. but i think wait for 3 month better.. in case any bacteria get into the eye..

For driving, next day can drive liao.. Your eye sight should recover to 90-95% for day vision, 80% for night vision.. But better not drive if raining day coz your eye will be very sensitive to light from single source.. You can see in darkness, but not in dim light.. at least for me..

Alway ready yourself with a pair of sunglasses everywhere.. even inside office.. nod.gif

Hi

Any good doctors to recommend for lasik surgery. Check with a well known doctor charging as high as $2K + per eye.

I did mine for $1,800 for both eyes .... one eye Lasik and the other eye PRK.

That was in 2004 ..... [nod][nod]

i'm back! painless, fuss free and incredibly quick!

now can see much better but i still have a bit of astigmatism in my left eye. went to see doc for first review today and he said that my visual acuity will take time to stabilise and it might take up till 6 months for everything to be permanent.

nevertheless i got back like 80-90% of my sight and i am quite [nod] with the results. [:)]

ps: the nurses there damn chio too.. Ms KY was the chioest.. [:p]

ideally, no.

but there are cases of regression, under/overcorrection, all which mean that you may have to wear spectacles again. however, the chances are quite low.

also, there is a possibility that you can go for enhancement surgery if you really die die do not want to wear glasses and have 6/6 vision.

For ladies here, Dr Marc Tay is a super charming n handsome man. He got a charisma tt u cant resist. He is not pure chinese cos he looked abit ang moh. He is not a young chap but something like Richard Gere...old but super super charming. [inlove][inlove]

I was tearing abit when I consulted him on my eyes...he passed me tissue paper n I was touched...keke [laugh] I cried cos my astig too high, cant do lasik...so he suggested to wait for a higher tech machine tt can correct higher range of astig. So I had to accept fate.

Many pp went to Dr Marc Tay for Lasik...u wont go wrong cos he is really one of e best eye dr...another best is Dr Ang from SNEC. These 2 faves are recommended by flowerpod podders.
