Nope, lots of patience and sweat. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

 

I started with 1000 grit, 1500, and finished with 2000 grit.

2 passes with Solo and the Solo marron wool pad, rotary.

1 pass #80 and a foam pad, rotary.

1 coat of #66, pc.

1 coat of #26, pc.

I also believe its a respray job.... Cos the first pic I can see a round spot where the paint had been removed, yet the after results the spot gone. No amount of polishing can bring back the lost paint. tongue.gif

Its not a respray, look at the rest of the posts, those guys earn their bread by restoring cars.

 

These single stage paints are very different, that 1969 restoration took 3 solid days.

Those classic car nuts value things which are original and made in that era, which is why many collectors only respray after exhausting other alternatives.

 

Yes, its not perfect.

 

A complete respray job over there cost thousands. [lipsrsealed]

Have you tried the Solo series of products?

Cos someone in the industry recommended it to me and apparently its touted as Meg's answer to Menzerna products..

cannot la..took them 3 days to polish back as 1 of the bros mentioned..spraying at most take 1 day..haha..

 

But its amazing work though..classic car..looks almost new [thumbsup]
