I bought an used ka wif old number plate. It comes wif 2 summon since 1999. I don't care as long as i can prove i m not d owner of d ka @ that time of offence. So, bring along a copy of d transfer letter from LTA (photocopy). If TP KPKB, ask 2 c Inspector.

I once had summons for speeding back in 2004 & paid up fine of $150 to compound the offence via Rilek within 14 days. After reading this thread, i decided to check Rilek on this old offence and surprise surprise!!! still see it as outstanding offence!!! WTF! Lucky i had scrapped the car concerned in March. These Malaysian authorities r so dirty!!! PIGS!

if is 50% off don't pay from internet, go there to pay, then they will clear off the database...

cause in computer you only pay 50% so still in the database! anyway u have scrapped the car so is ok... dun need to pay now...

anyway for those who still have outstanding, and still wanna go into malaysia... best go pay up, i have meet up the road block and found i got 3 outstanding... watsed my 1 hour there, and almost wanted to take me back to police station! lucky i pay them RM300 to let me go at the end, but my record still there...

my advice for those with summons, prepare the cash of all the summons whenever you go in,,if kena block and check on it, just pay on the spot happily and move on with their receipt...... but if never kena block, wait for the great MY sales...it's a summon which we have to pay like it or not but if i can drag the payment, why not??... they will even email you a receipt as prove..... [:p]

[sly] im sure when shown them the blank and white cc bill, they will only say "aiyah, maybe system not updated" and no problem one... in fact, i find them more "flexible" in certain context... [laugh]

I think to change yr car number plate without going through a sale transaction, u need to bid for the number. Minimum is SGD 1k, plus some admin fee and change of the physical plate itself. Thats the only way. U cant just join the car plate number Q like registereing for a new car. For a existing car, is different.

Now u just have to wait till sumon consolidate until abt RM2k bah, then change....... [laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh]
