Kxbc Turbocharged June 11, 2008 Share June 11, 2008 Wits program our time. I think now no more liao. Wits was a waste of time. I once asked my pl sgt why must we do the fish bone chart when it does not help in the whole process. We could have easily taken it out and worked it another way and still arrived at the same result. He just glared at me because he doesn't have an answer. He only brawns, not much blain.

Robin 4th Gear June 11, 2008 Share June 11, 2008 perhaps.... a little common sense also helps. if they feel sick or uncomfortable, they should slow down, stop and inform the safety officer.. now in saf, safety is very impt during trainings... Jho0001 Neutral Newbie June 11, 2008 Share June 11, 2008 Not the first time recruits have died during training and will not be the last either. Believe the kid already had underlying health problems to begin with. Not defending SAF, Kids nowadays hardly get out of the home to exercise, it's computer games, fried/ fast foods etc makes them time bombs, so to speak, just don't know when that ticker will just stop and the guy drop dead. A common problem is plague in the heart, well google it up and you will know, also, with regards to one bro who said running on threadmill also drop dead, well, if you don't recover from the flu virus, proper recovery aka 2 weeks and you start on strenuous exercises again, it will affect your heart and thus........ End of the day, personal opinion, if you don't take care of yourself, no one can and will. Do they not check for all these health issues during their medical before enlistment? surely they would of discovered, obsesity, high blood pressure, asthma etc or the medicals very basic? If I had to compulsary give 2.5yrs of my life serviing NS and to serve/protect my country, I would at the least expect the government/army to ensure that I am thoroughly checked to ensure that I don't collapse and die....this has happened too many in the past...something has gotta change.
