Ccssgm 1st Gear June 20, 2008 Share June 20, 2008 ERP- Poor in Math 1. Increase in ERP charges, make so much noise, reduce of ARF and road tax why no noise at all? With the new ERP charges govt. will have 70 millions extra in revenue per year, but lost 110 million in ARF and road tax cut. Govt wants money only, why so poor in math? 2. Many years ago, before ERP was implemented the COE price was easily above 100 K, today is around 10 K, When govt gives: left hand takes and put in the pocket and keeps quite, When govt takes: the right hand take out money with the eye

Shull Turbocharged June 20, 2008 Share June 20, 2008 (edited) Company transport will help ease traffic woes With more ERP gantries and charges, rising fuel prices and traffic congestion - perhaps companies can look into providing bus transport for their staff from the office to selected MRT stations in the North, East, West and Central parts of Singapore. The employees who take the company bus can then continue making their way home via the public bus or train from the designated drop-off points. This would not only help ease traffic congestion on major roads and congestion on public transport, but it would also benefit the company. Providing company transport to and from the office ensures that the employees are always on time for work. It would also increase efficiency as the workers will have to finish their work for the day in order to catch the transport home. Staggering knock-off times between 5pm and 8pm would also help reduce the extent of traffic jams during the rush hours, resulting in a smoother journey home. By providing company transport - a form of "bus-pooling" - we can also reduce air pollution which happens if each staff member were to drive to and from work. Employees would reach home faster as well, which is beneficial to their family and social life, and thus their overall well-being. With all these benefits, company transport may well be the way to go. Just remember to make seat belts on the buses mandatory. No THANKS!!!! you should go down during both morning and evening peak hour at Boon Lay way..outside Boon Lay MRT station. Those private buses from all the factories nearby jam the road like siao when they try to drop off their passengers.. 3 lanes become 1 lane..
