Johnyeow Neutral Newbie September 1, 2008 Share September 1, 2008 (edited) whatever it is, it is indeed sad to see a young life lost because of his own stupidity as well as laxity on the family's part. hope the family will find closure. and most critically, our TP should really do something to the alarming raise in traffic incidents involving young drivers. or wannabe drivers. Of course, crazy uncles and i-drive-in-my-world auntie drivers included. OG Somerset EVo wannabe case, Esplanade civic wannabe case... just to name a few... jeez. Johnyeow Neutral Newbie September 1, 2008 Share September 1, 2008 life's not about coincidence. things happen in life for a reason. and that reason is sometimes beyond what our limited wisdom can fathom. we all do play a part one way or another. laxity. complacency. pride. as our leaders said: It's an honest mistake. Let's move on. Heads will roll. But not mine.
Zippaboy 4th Gear September 1, 2008 Share September 1, 2008 I agree... Luckily no innocent bystanders were killed. However, the insurance part will be tricky..... if got pedestrians or other cars or MOTORCYCLES knocked down by him. who will pay?

Biglittlebean 3rd Gear September 1, 2008 Share September 1, 2008 [reply]Teen dies in fatal car crash And in a twist of fate, two of his schoolmates who had warned him several times not to drive chanced upon the crash site, immediately recognised the car, and had their worst fears confirmed. reply] Obviously it's not the first time the driving's been done. The two schoolmates should have reported it to their school earlier. Now, it's too late to do anything. The guilt would probably be upon them as well. Gnoikj Neutral Newbie September 1, 2008 Share September 1, 2008 OPC car...you'll think it'll be more noticable travelling in the day..I'm assuming the boy did not put any coupon, cos if he's stealing it for rides, its unlikely he'll pay for the coupons... Ncp91 1st Gear September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 Straits Times reported that the brother is in Australia training to be a SIA pilot. Surely the authorities don't expect him to be held responsible? In this case it appears the car lost control and wrapped around the tree. The impact is on the right side of the car. Nikolaiski Neutral Newbie September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 Seriously, what's the world coming to ? Look at the younger generation of today. Have we failed miserably in educating them ? Have we failed to be a leading example to them ?? Don't blame the society. Don't blame the government. Fault starts within the Family. Go to say Orchard Road on a weekend and see how these young kids behave. You will be overwhelmed with a sense of hopelessness in our future. I'm not one to speculate and gossip, but on this note, I MUST agree with you. However "bad" you might think of Singapore's current state of social EQ/graces, I DO NOT want to be around in the future when our generation has to put up with the so called "Generation Y" - is that what they call it now? Not especially on the roads... -shudders- Again, I'm sure the dead buy's family is nice and all, and many of us have done this sorta illegal thing (maybe not in Singapore?) but i'm sure that even at such a young age, we would have already known the full consequences should we be caught. This is one of those times...
Blackyv Turbocharged September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 i would say small dose of ignorance plus large amount of stupidity combine with destined... as the old saying goes.... one eat how much, wear how much, are all destined......
