  1. Alrighty readers, let's waste no time to discuss today's hot topic - A BlueSG driver who allowed his son to get behind the wheels of the car! No video though, so here are the images. I am not an expert in parenting, but I am quite sure this boy is definitely not 18-years old and not of legal age to drive. He even has the same bowl cut hairstyle I had when I was a kid (not like anyone's asking). What is the legal age for driving? The minimum age to drive a motor vehicle with a Qualified Driving Licence (QDL) in Singapore is 18 years old. How many people can sit on the driver seat? Pretty sure it's ONE even though there's no answer for this question on Quora. Some of the other questions people ask are bloody amusing. Parents take note Always put your kids at the passenger seat and fasten their seatbelts before you start driving. If you can do this when you are taking a plane, I am sure you can do this when you are driving. Passengers who are not will be fined S$120 per passenger. The Bolloré Bluecar (the BlueSG car) does not come with cruise control. If you are lazy to drive, then take a Grab with your kids, let someone (who's not a 12-year-old kid) drive for you. I think if his wife sees this, someone's sleeping on the couch tonight. Uncle Koba out!

  4. If only MY follow SG law by jailing those who paid for underage sex .... Yahoo news: Underage sex trafficking in Malaysia real, video reveals Malaysia, which has been downgraded to Tier 3 for its lack of progress in fighting human trafficking, now has another damning piece of evidence against it in a video documentary on the underage sex trade in the capital. The video, now on YouTube and titled "Trapped – The underage sex industry in Malaysia", is the result of two years of research by journalists Mahi Ramakrishnan and Rian Maelzer. Mahi said she was working on another story four years ago when she stumbled upon one that was much bigger – that of underaged foreign children used in the sex trade. It shocked her, as she had never imagined that such a thing was happening in Malaysia. "I never knew that such a thing existed in Malaysia. I mean, everyone knows that this happens in Thailand but I really had no idea that the underage sex trade was alive and well here," she told The Malaysian Insider. "You hardly hear about it and no one really addresses it. It is really under-reported." video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UDCjKLUgr30 link: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/underage-sex-trafficking-malaysia-real-video-reveals-103019651.html
  5. https://sg.news.yahoo.com/ex-straits-times-journalist-jailed-1-5-years-for-sex-with-minor-095711497.html Former Straits Times journalist Eisen Teo was on Monday sentenced to one and a half years in jail for two charges of having sex and oral sex with an underage girl. In one charge, the 29-year-old former Singapore Press Holdings scholar, who is married, had oral sex with the girl, who was then 15 years old, in a male toilet cubicle at Fort Canning Park. This took place in the early months of 2012, according to court documents. In another, he had sex with her in a study room in his flat at Serangoon Avenue 1 in June 2012 while his wife was baking in the kitchen. A third charge of him having oral sex with her between November and December 2011, in a house off Upper Paya Lebar Road, was taken into consideration for his sentencing. Teo joined the newspaper in 2009, and worked with the Schools team, which produced two weekly magazines for primary and secondary school students. He was a mentor for student journalists at the IN Crowd media club, which the girl, now 17, was a part of when he first met her in 2011. According to the Statement of Facts, presented in court by Deputy Public Prosecutor Amanda Chong, Teo first took special interest in the girl when he learned from reading her blog that she was clinically depressed, suffering from insomnia and was being bullied in school. After maintaining close contact with her through email, WhatsApp and Facebook messages, they became a couple in the last quarter of that year. She was 14 at the time. Teo did not tell the girl he was married until early 2012, though, and would only say that he had a girlfriend, adding that they were not in a committed relationship. He and his wife tied the knot in October 2010. When he finally admitted that he was married, Teo lied once again, telling the girl that he and his wife had an open relationship that allowed them both to have other sexual partners, and that they had gotten married in order to purchase an HDB flat. Teos offences came to light when the girl attempted suicide in a toilet cubicle two days after they had sex in his flat. She was found in a toilet cubicle with her arms slashed and she had overdosed on Panadol. It was when she was recuperating in hospital that her older sister and father discovered that Teo and her had exchanged messages with sexual content on Facebook and WhatsApp. The girls father then attempted to contact Teo without success, and sent a lawyers letter to him to warn him against contacting her. A few months later, the girl confided in her sister about having sex with Teo, and she filed a police report in December that year. Teo will begin his sentence on 24 June. He could have been jailed up to 10 years for each for the underage sex charges.

The Secondary 2 student became acquainted with Azmee on the Alamak Chat and told him she was 14. He lied that he was 20 and also hid his marital status from her. After a few sessions of chatting, he asked her to be his girlfriend and she agreed. Subsequently, he asked her to meet him at the void deck of Block 329 Bukit Batok Street 33. After staying at the void deck for a while, he took her to a staircase landing nearby where he had consensual sex with the victim He could have been jailed for up to 10 years and/or fined. 8. He had sex with his 14-year-old girlfriend, got her pregnant and was jailed for four weeks when he could not pay his fine. But within a month of getting out of jail, he got the same girl pregnant again. Now 16, she has two sons by him and her family is helping her raise them. The youth, now 22 and a full-time national serviceman, was sentenced to four months' jail on Monday for his second offence of having sex with a minor. He cannot be named to protect the girl's identity. The court heard that they met in 2009, when he was 20 and she was 14. They had sex and she became pregnant. She gave birth to a baby boy in December 2010, when she was 15. He was fined $4,000 for having sex with her, and another similar charge was taken into consideration. He could not pay the fine, so he went to jail. After he was released from prison in February last year, he contacted the girl. The court heard that they were still in a relationship then. Within that month, he took the girl to his Yishun flat when no one was home and they had sex. The girl became pregnant again and in November last year, gave birth to their second baby. http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_761201.html

  10. Teen dies in fatal car crash At around 1.30pm, Ken How lost control of his brother's blue Suzuki Swift along Bedok South Road and slammed into a tree. -- ST PHOTO: FRANCIS ONG HE WAS 16, did not have a driving licence, and ignored friends who told him to stop driving his older brother's car around. But Yeo Ken How, a Secondary 4 student of Bedok South Secondary School, did not listen. On Monday afternoon, the first day of the one-week school break, he sneaked a drive in his brother's Suzuki Swift. It would be his last. And in a twist of fate, two of his schoolmates who had warned him several times not to drive chanced upon the crash site, immediately recognised the car, and had their worst fears confirmed. It was not clear where Ken How was headed, but around 1.30pm, he lost control of his brother's blue Suzuki Swift along Bedok South Road and slammed into a tree. The impact of the accident crushed the driver's side of the car, killing the boy instantly. He was travelling alone. His body had to be extricated from the mangled wreckage by Singapore Civil Defence Force officers using hydraulic cutters. The crash site was just 2km away from Ken How's home at Bedok North Street 1. Read the full story in Tuesday's edition of The Straits Times.
