I don't think you need to send new car for paint protection and polish yet?

I'm collecting my car today too. And my SE has requested for car washing today before collection.

Congrats on your new car!

Congrats to your new ride [wave][wave][wave]

Bring your ride to a reputable grooming company and let them do a [thumbsup] 'Base' for your detailing needs in the future [nod][nod][nod]

We have a couple of [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup] In-House groomers i.e Gen2, Maddriver, Coltegious ... etc [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

I saw a new car covered in a single coloured sticker on the entire exterior. It's in desert brown non-gloss type. IMO kinda convenient cos at least 2 yrs or so dun have to bother on detailing and paintwork is still as good as original like the first day collected.

Brought my car to Glare for PPS 6 months ago when i just collected it.

Their service was quite good and even untill now, they have smsed and called me to go down for the inspection and touch-up service(provided FOC as part of the package). I would say, very good follow up service.

Look out for fine scratches...

those cloth used by those people sometimes have fine particles that caused scratches...

but depends on individual.. some cant take it.. some cant be bothered.. [laugh]

i rather wash myself... [sweatdrop]

No worries [wave][wave][wave]

Try to bring it to a [thumbsup] grooming company/personnel to do a swee swee one so that in future, you could jus DIY to keep your new ride's paintwork in swee swee condition [nod][nod][nod]

Some go for PPS i.e Glare, Tough Seal ... etc while some prefer those Meguiar, Duragloss, Autoglym ... etc [nod][nod][nod]

IMHO, go for the latter which i feel is [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

I have been a PPS user before and find them [shakehead][shakehead][shakehead][lipsrsealed]

But one man's meat is another man's poison [;)]

I did mine at tough seal and I wash with duragloss shampoo, maintain with aquawax and quick detailer. The whole process takes me less than an hour.

PPS AKA Paint Protection Shield/Sealant i.e Glare, Tough Seal, Amazing Glaze ... etc whereby once applied to your ride, you'll jus need to wash with water [nod][nod][nod] and go back for 6 months interval maintenace [rolleyes][rolleyes][rolleyes]

The package normally is 300 +++ to 400 or 500 +++ and has 4 sessions whereby 1st session, they will machine polish and do up your ride for 3-4 or 5 hours then subsequently 6 months inspection of re-apply another layer of sealant (45 mins-1 hour +++) for 3 sessions for subsequent 6 months interval [nod][nod][nod]

They will use a gauge to measure the gloss of your paintwork and if it falls below i think about 10% from your initial session, they will re-do the whole ride for you again [nod][nod][nod]

But they will tell you that inbetween cannot use wax [gossip][gossip][gossip]

The above is based on my experience about 4 years back [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Maybe now their system change liao [gossip][gossip][gossip]
