try Heeren or Twentymalacca.

Puri is still the best, private carpark, locked most of the time.

i drive soft top cars, and every time i just park roadside for overnight, generally Malacca is quite safe. maybe my car is always too dirty, hahhahaha....

Supercharged

i just came back from malacca from the Deepavali weekend. Stayed at Renaissance hotel.

S$120 a night...

Renaissance hotel is nice and all that, but its abit far off from the central area. got to walk 20mins to reach the Town Square.

Next time, i will choose a hotel nearer

i have seen other nice hotels there.

one that u can try is the Heeren House, run by a couple i think. Ang mo lady and chinese guy.

a shophouse type, at jonker street area. they even serve breakfast and meals

i have seen Hotel Puri hotel. this is a very nice baba style hotel. you just spend abit more la. it's worth the $$.

last year, Puri's rate at Sept 07 was RM$133 per night. (some friends of mine stayed there in Sept 2007)

so just spend abit more.. if you can up yr budget to RM$150, you can definitely stay at Hotel Puri.

tat's only SIN$20 more.

it will save you alot of walking and hassle.

I stay in the Fenix Inn 2 weeks ago and it is nice, very satisfy for that price.

MR99 for a room of 2, while I stay in a family room of 3 for MR138.

It is located near to the Equatorial Hotel and just digonally oppsite the new Mega Mall.

The hotel itself had valet parking and the car are park are inside the hotel compound with CCTV.
