Summon for bus lane offence

Hi folks,

 

today receive one summon for dropping my mum at the Eunos bus stop opp the car driving centre.

 

couldn't LTA be more understanding that we are not trying to hogging the whole bus lane but just sending our love one to the bus stop in order for them to catch the bus to their work place?all these was less than 30 second

but me was told by the officer...the one at LTA...

that they will keep record for 3 yrs...

and next time..if u kena again...

bus lane is one of the worst creation ever. imagine driving along lentor ave/amk ave 6 during peak hours. 3 lane road become 2, bus lane empty and no bus. they are capped to 50km/h..why bother to haf a bus lane?

its becoz of the stewpid bus lane ....

if it were kept at 3 lanes instead of 2..and sometimes 1..when there is filtering required...

traffic flow would be smooth and not like wad u mentioned...

the bus lane is there to create more congestions thus LTA can justify their fxxking reasons to put more ERPs on the roads.

I kena b4 at the Hill street bus lane and managed to appeal successfully..they will look at record one..if first time offence and reason given is reasonable, got fair chance for it to be waived..

Travel on Lentor every morning.

At 8.05 all vehicles jammed into the 2 lanes and you have to wait 8 to 10 minutes before a bus shows up in the bus lane.

I find bus lanes are underutilized... LTA should make better use of the bus lanes.. maybe allow other buses or taxis to use them.. this will help balance out traffic congestion..

doubt they will allow that. if they do, than the bus companies can use this as an excuse for not meeting service timings because of congested traffic.

Sometimes i think some bus lanes r a bit too much.

 

For roads which have a lot of traffic doing left turn, but because of bus lanes, only a small stretch allowed cars in, and thus often caused congestion near the traffic junction.
