Roh96 6th Gear December 4, 2008 Share December 4, 2008 Has anyone caught for their HID during road block or LTA inspection? Just want to know if LTA or TP is strict on cars with illegal HID. Need to access the risk before deciding whether to convert mine to HID . Any advise is much appreciated. ↡ Advertisement

Its never legal no matter what colour rating u use. U can pass ur inspection bcos the plp there no working or close 1 eye. Usually TP dun care abt your illegal mod, they only catch u on traffic offence, usually, they will give change cos its not their job. LTA on the other hand always catch plp on illegal mod, if u kena from LTA, most likely no chance liao.

Obleveonn 2nd Gear December 4, 2008 Share December 4, 2008 Hi So far kena roadblocked 3 time the past two months. and all three times they were more interested in smeling my breath then looking for illegal mods on my car. only one time i was caught in a tp fencing at boat quay. before the guy came over to my window and talked to me, he pointed at my headlights to his colleagues which was on the side of the road. thought ho say liao, want to stop me for my hid. but in the end, after talking to me, he let me go without any further incident. Mine is a factory fitted HID and has an auto levelling, so it must be true then.
Eacs Neutral Newbie December 4, 2008 Share December 4, 2008 I hate HID................pls spare some thoughts for the older drivers.when you grow older you eye sight gets weaker.so think twice before you change.cos your chance of getting blinded will come one day...............do a good deed. ↡ Advertisement
