Code01 Clutched April 11, 2009 Share April 11, 2009 i been drivin an 05 model S60 for the past 2 weeks. I thought my vios got better steering feedback though. Volvo feels too detach to me. But its a good car to drive. Feel very safe machiam driving a tank haha. Fuel ard 10km/litre.
Azarael Clutched April 11, 2009 Share April 11, 2009 volvo service has always been good and reasonable. (i think) but i have heard horror stories about U turns and 3 point turns with the wowo. it seems easier to turn a container truck as it has a horrid turn radius. S60 looks really dated though with it's headlight and old door handles. Volvo boasts of it's execellent FC ? can that be real ?? i dun get it
Mudpeas Neutral Newbie April 14, 2009 Share April 14, 2009 Booked a S60 just recently. The steering feel is pretty heavy and a hell lot more feel than my 2.0 jap. hope the fuel consumption would not be a huge burden
Akula Turbocharged April 15, 2009 Share April 15, 2009 Good Choice! When I had it btn Sep 2003 - Dec 2005, FC was consistently getting around 9.5-10.5 km/litre, on 95 octane fuel running on 205/55R16 tires. Enjoy ur ride.
Mudpeas Neutral Newbie May 14, 2009 Share May 14, 2009 Had my ride for 3 weeks now ... enjoying the smooth ride and the occasion journeys to 3500rpm FC is now averaging 10L/100km, hope it will improve as the engine loosens up ... or am i just dreaming? The 225/45 R17 Continental tyres don't look like it will last long ... sounds a bit noisy too.
Akula Turbocharged May 15, 2009 Share May 15, 2009 Great. Think now no more S60 already. About 1.5 moths back was at the showroom and chat with my SE, from her at that time left only 7 units plus showroom and test drive cars. Continentals more sport/handling orientated, so expected to be noisy. Enjoy your ride.

Mudpeas Neutral Newbie May 15, 2009 Share May 15, 2009 can't agree more ... the 45 profile tyres let you feel the manhole covers ... am enjoying the ride ... can't wait to hit NS highway
Alfist168 Clutched May 15, 2009 Share May 15, 2009 Hi guys. I am new at Conti forum (was at Korean forum most of the time). I read at page1 or 2 of the forum where sb mentioned that his 2002 Vulva have suffered from softened plastics (melted). Does anyone experience the same thing with 2005- Vulvas? Evo30 Neutral Newbie July 19, 2009 Share July 19, 2009 Dear all, I am now considering to get an used S60 2.4T and this is my first Conti car of my life, need some advice here. 1) What is the stock bhp for those unit sold in mid 2006? 2) What is the average fuel consumption on this model 2.4T? 3) Is model 2.4T equivalent to model T5 also? 4) What is the most signicant "plus" points and "minus" point you would name for a 2.4T? 5) What was the SM's selling price in mid 2006 then? Hopefully, I could get some kind souls to share their info here so that I can make up my decision soon. Many thks in advance. Cheers! :)

Mcf777 Turbocharged July 19, 2009 Share July 19, 2009 (edited) S60 2.4T is a sawadekap car. When 1st launch, should be around S$99K. Model S60 2.0 (BHP180) or T5 (BHP260) is Sweden car S60 already no more in production. Why dont u look at S40 T5 (BHP230)? Almost the same as current model except for keyless entry. S40 price is always cheaper than 60 or 80. This S40 looks good. Low mileage. Prices can deduct around 3-4K. Paper value should be around 39K. http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...916&DL=1165 around 8.5Km per litre for S40 T5. Get the S60 vehicle no and call SM motors for the servicing history and you can ask SM to arrange for a car inspection which cost around S$130 which takes almost half a day. Alfist168 Clutched July 19, 2009 Share July 19, 2009 (edited) S40 T5 is very cramped. Besides, it is just a glam-ed up version of the Mazda 3. What's the point? Dear all, I am now considering to get an used S60 2.4T and this is my first Conti car of my life, need some advice here. Cheers! :) Here are some Volvo Articles. Hope they help! From Carbuyer: "with the new model (T5) however, the trip computer read 11l/100km after our 2 day test drive which included liberal doses of 'spirited' driving" pretty economical eh? Evo30 Neutral Newbie July 20, 2009 Share July 20, 2009 Many thks for those who sharing the info here, really appreciate :) S60 2.4T was made in Thailand, no wonder is cheaper than other S60 model. Given this fact, were there any negative feedback on 2.4T though, e.g. bad fuel consumption, mul-function, parts easy broke down, etc.? As I got two kids in the family, would prefer a more spacious cabin car over S40 :p cheers!
Mcf777 Turbocharged July 20, 2009 Share July 20, 2009 i only know 2.4T no DSTC. You may want to enquire at volvosgclub.com. But registration is a big problem.
