if you want, compare the azera (3.3V6) with gs300 (3.0V6)...compare the sonata (2.0) with camry (2.0). which would you rather have, if people buy and give you the car??? get my point???

If people is to buy a car and give me, any car also can! Anybody want to do that???!!!

My point is, this proposal is no brainer. Most of the people will take whichever is more expensive. For me, under this situation there is no MIG, MIK, MIJ, MIT, etc, I just take and then sell for a profit.

It is only when you buying using your hard-earn money that you really consider all these factors.

everybody...you have to compare apple with apple...don't compare apple with oranges...not a fair comparison...

how old is the crown??? it has been with us for donkey years...even the new model is the same one found in 2000...you don't compare the new sonata or azera with the 10year old crown...

Compare apple to apple? Err...then is it compare Sonata with another Sonata? Or Camry made in Thai and Camry made in Jap? US GS300 and Japan GS300? [laugh]

compare 2.0L cars with 2.0L cars...don't care about the price range...

yes you can actually compare the JDM Camry and MIT Camry...totally different experience when seated in both cars...the MIT felt like a Lexus, while the JDM felt like altis...

US GS300 is different from Japan GS300...in terms of build and specs...so you can also compare them if you want...but that's not my point...

[laugh] Ppl wil compare thing in a different way. U r right to compare 2.0L to 2.0L but that does not mean the other party cannot compare the car base on similar price or on other factor.

The basis of comparision varies, it depends on how one look at it.

I'm saying the the crown and cedric taxis in tokyo are those high spec ones like the one used as private cars on our road. Some even higher higher like the crown majesta. Please dun confused high spec with high tech. I have seen hundreds of sonatas in my line of work. Don't you know you can use any car as taxi? From MB E class to Hilux pickup

This is what I wanna tell mr Riceracer. He is comparing a na vs a turbo plus they are of different class. If he wants to compare the sonata you must compare with another 2L turbo diseal version of crown if there is any. Plus he mention he is impress with the high spec, which we do see in Sonatas which brings to the point of him contridicting himself.

And yes, I also know all cars can be used as a taxi. No chance to ask my Jap collegue today, will ask him how the taxi system works in Japan tomorrow. I suspect the higher end crowns used there are more expensive than those we see on the road here.

When I was in Tokyo, we hired an Alphard taxi to bring us around. All taxis are extremely expensive there.

My colleague pay, I didn't pay. But it was around $100~$200 every trip.

Since we were carrying boxes around, the Alphard was helpful. It had a powered ramp that can lower down to the ground for easy carrying of goods.

Alphard good? I don't know. It is just like a comfortable passenger van to me. [rolleyes]

We don't take taxis unless absolutely necessary. Most of the time, we moved around by rail.

I think you off track. But since you brought it up first, I must say something below.

Which parts tell you I so angry? By the number of [hur]

You put 3 [hur], bro . So clearly you are the one who is 3 times more angry here.

lol. i give up on you. i guess the quote below is pretty true

"Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."

everyone is entitled to his own opinion. You buy what you like and can afford. same goes for the rest of mankind.

all the trouble to prove something pointless is a waste of time and effort. unless you are a sales or over zealous citizen of a particular make. jap or korean or german of whatever.

have fun arguing... [wave]

As I suspected, they are using the original version of crown unlike ours... [bigcry] If that is the case, I think you cannot compare with Sonata, you must compare with its other half , the Azera.
