C&C....Cut & Chopped.

Aircon filter outside buy....$55 (Cairefresh brand)....air filter (paper type) $20 (Orgiginal Mitsubishi)

$90 bucks you add a bit more you can get performance drop in filter elements like K&N, HKS (foam type) etc...

If you service you car at AD you must be prepared to pay premium price for premium service.

Can't compare with buying it yourself and install. You may not know where it is located or don't want to dirty you hand.

No right or wrong.

Air con filter is for your air conditioning system. Kind of like the filter you have in your home air con.

Air filter is for your car's engine. It prevents road debris from being sucked into your engine.

Like the rest said, neither item should be so expensive if they are stock standard items.

If you have a leaking tap and call a plumber to fix it and he charges you $70 to replace the washer which costs $0.50, do you consider that kena chop? Or do you think car maintenance is only about paying for a part which will install itself?

If your quotation for the 2 filters includes labour, and you can't do it yourself anyway (and you don't even know what those items are), can you be bothered to make the effort to source the parts and then learn how to replace them? You are not so much paying for the parts but more for the effort of replacing the part.

If you think it is too much then you should make the effort to learn.

Yep, will learn if there is resources in the future. [flowerface] Anyone knows if warranty would be void if i replace my own filters?
