Blue850r Clutched January 20, 2009 Share January 20, 2009 I have been wondering if Chevy Epica 2.5L V6 is the top model or the model with the highest capacity? Is there any 3L or 3.3L? ↡ Advertisement

Paddie 3rd Gear January 20, 2009 Share January 20, 2009 Thought I have seen a Chevy with a bigger body than Epica. Chevrolet Lumina? Made in Australia, was sold here for a while. I believe it was 3.6L V6.
Elfenstar 3rd Gear January 20, 2009 Share January 20, 2009 Chevrolet Lumina? Made in Australia, was sold here for a while. I believe it was 3.6L V6. Spot on. Its the holden commodore with holden statesman trim :) Btw, it came with 3 yrs road tax included in a very competitive price when i saw it a few years ago. Tried to convince my uncle to get that, but he went back with yet another Saab

Elfenstar 3rd Gear January 20, 2009 Share January 20, 2009 Hmm... So Epica is the new model replacement for this car? Nope. Its one size class below.
Acosean 1st Gear January 26, 2009 Share January 26, 2009 No, it is a 3.8L Chevrolet Lumina, about less than 20 in Singapore. Gurmit Singh is driving one. If we talk about top Chevy in Singapore, the Lumina is it, since it is still in existence. But if we talk about the top available Chevy model for 1st hand sale, then it is the Epica. We should never compare between the Epica and the Lumina because they are of different league. The former is never meant as a replacement for the latter. But if we talk about replacement target market segment, then maybe yes. In US, the top Chevy sedan is the 5.3L V8 Chevrolet Impala SS. But the real top (performance) Chevy isn't the Corvette nor the Camaro, but the Camaro ZL1, with acceleration of 2.7s (0-100km/h) with 770bhp, etc.

As for the ZL1, well that wasn't a production car, since only one was made.
Chickensoup 1st Gear January 26, 2009 Share January 26, 2009 Any idea why no more Aussie Chevy selling in local market?
Elfenstar 3rd Gear January 26, 2009 Share January 26, 2009 3.5l... FC and road-tax are killers. Add in the Chevy badge..... Even the Aveo is being sold as the holden barina in aust due to cost effectiveness. I actually asked my uncle to get it... it was about $130k++ inclusive of 3 yrs road tax, but he got yet another Saab.
