Sw20 2nd Gear February 11, 2009 Share February 11, 2009 2 days ago is my final loyalty to shell. I've always been pumping 98 and V power. Sorry shell, after what you've done I'm going to Caltex for Platinum. ↡ Advertisement
Redplanet Clutched February 11, 2009 Share February 11, 2009 Come on, everyone's memory is short... The last few adjustments downwards were also initiated by shell...
Sw20 2nd Gear February 11, 2009 Author Share February 11, 2009 this i agree with you. I've been using shell for more than 5 years since i got my license. I supported them even when they brought prices up and being the 1st to bring prices down. But oil prices are down, they went up and further more other petrol station offering better discounts than them though i've been with them for so long. Christan Turbocharged February 11, 2009 Share February 11, 2009 I'm out as well. Caltex offers instant discount (12% using SAFRA+Thanks card). Shell having promotion now if u pump >$50, can enter lucky draw to win 5K. Why they don't want to give better discount instead of using lucky draw. So those who pump Shell now will have better chance of winning since most will be switching to other brands
Atonchia Supersonic February 11, 2009 Share February 11, 2009 I have been taking tiger since I realised Shell points not so valuable, earned by litres. Esso by Dollars. If I pumped the same quantity but get lower points when the price was $2 something per litre. Then NTUC tied up with citibank for up to 12% discount. But now no more such tied-up, use DBS mastercard have about the same discount also.
Sw20 2nd Gear February 11, 2009 Author Share February 11, 2009 Esso... I have no idea what is wrong with their petrol. My engine feels lag. SPC is better than Esso. Where to apply for Safra card?
Redplanet Clutched February 11, 2009 Share February 11, 2009 Esso... I have no idea what is wrong with their petrol. My engine feels lag. SPC is better than Esso. Where to apply for Safra card? Same...my ride performs better when using shell. However, i learnt that there's nothing wrong, its just that different engines respond differently to the various brands of petrol. So, one man's meat is another's poison.

My car better still...pump Singapore Shell, my FC like s--t, ard 11km/l, pump JB Shell, FC becomes very good, can hit 15km/l. So I don't pump Shell in Singapore. Mostly pump SPC here. FC can still get 13-14km/l and got better discounts also. Edited February 11, 2009 by Patcheon

Victor68 Turbocharged February 12, 2009 Share February 12, 2009 I am not pumping Shell till they lead the discount. Just because they have the most pump stations do not mean we have to pump their petrol. Singapore is full of petrol kioks.
Valentino Neutral Newbie February 12, 2009 Share February 12, 2009 Esso... I have no idea what is wrong with their petrol. My engine feels lag. SPC is better than Esso.
