Albeniz Turbocharged March 23, 2009 Share March 23, 2009 Used to drive a 9 year old Daihatsu Hijet (S100RV) for one year. Very reliable, no major problem. Just need to get the brakes changed once.

Bicolor 5th Gear March 24, 2009 Share March 24, 2009 Mostly PCs and laptops. Yea, was thinking of Hiace too. Also came across the Mitsubishi L300 which seems like a value for money buy. L300 is not bad, my friend owns one and I drove it a few times too. He says it is very reliable and hasn't given any problems after close to 10 years except for the normal parts which need replacing, and having experienced it both as a passenger and driver, it is quite smooth and comfortable for a Japanese van. Good value for money.
Redcoloured 1st Gear March 24, 2009 Share March 24, 2009 (edited) the power of L300 is really good. considering that it is just a 1600cc van. on a full load, it still can go up the slope with ease. my dad used to own one and its really reliable. not much problem other den usual wear and tear. but one thing u might want to note. the petrol L300 is a drinker man. but i'm not too sure about the disel L300 though. Cavver 4th Gear March 24, 2009 Share March 24, 2009 Comfortable for L300 ??? I think not, you should try liteace or the new hiace.
Bicolor 5th Gear March 24, 2009 Share March 24, 2009 Comfortable for L300 ??? I think not, you should try liteace or the new hiace. Needless to say for the new Hiace . Just the look of it feels luxurious for a Japanese van. Haven't tried it myself but hear a lot of positive feedback about it. Tried the older version of the Hiace (7 year old version) on the same roads I drove my friend's L300 and felt the L300 more comfortable.
