the TT is only 2~3k more than the SS model but the TT starts to grow on me after some time.

Bought a SS GMT IIc in NZ. In my opinon, Its the best place to buy Rolex at the moment.

I think my friend will c/o me to get the watch for him.

At this rate, I am myself drawn to the watch. I may be returning with 3 watches. Wife has been eyeing lady's version [sweatdrop]

You got the watch in Auckland?

HK is a good place to get Rollies.. they have good prices if you can manage to find at the right place and bargain abit.

abit of info, a new Daytona black face SS was going at 14k beginning this year at a local AD the price has gone up again because of the new clasp from rolex.

hi Sabian,

just mailed them and here are the prices.

1. Daytona - stainless steel - $16465 NZD RRP

2. GMT IIc - black face w/ green gmt hand - $12065 NZD RRP

3. Exp II - white face - $9815 NZD RRP

these are retailed prices only. Ask for Tax free and bargain a little for the GMT and EXP, they will not move the prices for Daytona.

Maybe if you quote my name it would help [laugh]

When in Auckland, go toPartridge at Queen St and ask for Glenn Peachy.

As for HK, I will check when there tonight.

As per above poll.

Pls do not suggest Sub or SD or YM as friend already took them out of his shortlist.

For me, as a long-term collector's item, it has to be the even-rarer Explorer I (black face).

Last re-edition run up to 1998. No more production thereafter. No further planned by Rolex.

But there are still brand-new pieces that can be found in certain watch shops, around the globe.

hi just check the price for Explorer here is 43700hkd before discount.

This is non AD price. The shop i went to is at Hankow Road opposite to HMV at TST.

You might want to check it out.

AD price is easily available when u are in HK, Emperor, Chow Sang Sang, Chow Tai Fook etc.

pepsi gmt: very distinct model

but the ADs are all locking them up in their vault and charging the "no longer in production" premium?

with the explorer & GMT gg for 8k+ and 10k+, i think the pepsi will go for an extra 1k+? [sweatdrop]

i think my friend will peng san. like that, he might as well go for Throttle's Daytona?

lelong, yr 2006 Explorer II white face for sale.. cheap cheap. all documents , box intact....

anyone know where i can get the daytona black face ss at a good price?

HK can get at quite good price.

I just got back from a 4 day conference in HK.

My friend was telling me that the price for my black face SS Daytona is HKD85 - 87k so it's slightly less than S$17,000.

for new Daytona, current model, the difference is not great anyway, maybe a few hundred bucks at most

I simply bought mine as usual from Watch palace in lucky plaza. I paid $17,600 nett, if i recall correctly...

are you sure only $14k Jerms?

then it's a good buy. hit them on the spot and done deal.

The problem is they always tell you the price then they say they have no stock.
