Locknload 5th Gear August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 I totally agree with your opinion. As far as I know, many other cars that 2nd row can tumble forward, can also slide as well, so not exactly something difficult or heavy, more probable is an oversight by the proton designers. Even if it adds 20kg of weight, I'll happily take that 20kg anytime. Now the 3rd row space is so limited, want to put children in 2nd row and adults in 3rd row also cannot. Bro - Best to put the kids in 3rd row as most mpv's are 5+2 config. Also, easier for kids to move in. ↡ Advertisement

Panhard 1st Gear August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 For those with big family loads & who travels up to "boleh" land very often sure no regret buying the exora. By Dec, when you collect your car, most of the issues on the car would have already been ironed out by then. Thus will have a more reliable car. Not to manage problem free maintenance & wide range of assessories across the causeway....sure spoiled for choice (change more RM)....
Fussyme Neutral Newbie August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 Hi SKtan10, I got my car within a month. Thanks for sharing the Malaysian exora's blog. Will take note of their problems and check on mine. As for the 3rd row space, it is ok for both kids and adults, as long as you don't have a BIG "spare tyre" on your belly and your legs are not too LONG How about other Exora's car owner? Keen to share the pro and con. Lastly, seek opinion from you guys whether should I send my car for PPS or not? Any idea how much is it? Thanks
Blackhawk Neutral Newbie August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 Halo Fussyme, Congrats on your ride! I tested drive and thought the engine sounded quite loud when moving off. Wonder if you also share the same view. Any other comments (+ve and -ve) which you can share about the car? Tks.
Sgnick 1st Gear August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 (edited) Bro - Best to put the kids in 3rd row as most mpv's are 5+2 config. Also, easier for kids to move in. I use infant seats and child seats, so these goes on the 2nd row, and the adults sits in the 3rd row. And because children/infants in seats don't need a lot of legroom, if only the 2nd row can slide forward to make room for the 3rd row adults. Most MPVS can slide actually. But other than this issue, Exora is a value for money MPV worth buying. Edited August 11, 2009 by Sgnick
Coolpica 4th Gear August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 The space in 2nd row seems a little too much. if there was a sliding mechanism. that extra space could be shared with the now cramp 3rd row. read somewhere that the sliding mechanism creates extra weight so was not included. T7's 2nd row can slide and tumble forward. The 2nd row can slide about 6cm forward and backward. This is really a good function.

Those who are very objective in their car buying will normally buy cars 'CASH' and not like most of us, or at least me, who are stucked with loans bcoz of our expectations and the kind of lifestyles we chose. I actually know someone who bought this Exora 'CASH' without even thinking of topping up 1K + for the leather seats and spoiler coz he believes he can save the 1K. He lives simply n this is his 1ST 1.6L Auto car. He normally buys 1.3L (M) cars or below in cash and change every 3-5 years. Even with 1.3L cars, he has driven as far as Penang, M'sia, countless times...... He is loan FREE - No car loan / no house loan / no renovation loan......but ppl loan him......haha Hahaha...he is truly my 'Singapore Idol'.... Mustang 1st Gear August 12, 2009 Share August 12, 2009 The sales of Exora is simply astonishing despite the sceptical going on.My colleague has trade in his 7 years old Corolla for the white Exora with leather. He fitted a Simota drop in air filter, foglights,Rooftop DVD and whole sets of 16inch 5 spoke alloy rims with 205/55 yokohama tyres in JB for a reasonable price.During our dinner yesterday a group of 6 adults including himself which weight around 80kg,We went to Changi point FC.Notice the pick up is a bit smoother despite the running in engine(Just clocked 600km).Notice that upon reaching 2,750rpm the CPS system is working at speed around 90kmh.When he enter PIE it was definately smooth ride given there's 6 person on board that shows no struggling. The only cons when full loaded is when you try to overtake at speeds from 90 to 100kmh,It tooks a while but not so bad given the vehicle kerb weight.Overall its roomy for front and middle passengers but not for th third row. Those below 1.6m and kids should not have problem sitting in the rear but then again for under 60K(47K for OPC) its just a minor setback.Anyway my uncle's stream also no adult sitting at the rear except children.Overall i find it quite worth it if you're looking into an budget 7 seater people's mover.
