Sosaria Twincharged May 23, 2009 Share May 23, 2009 Think this posting oso wanna poke at the Msian police for asking bribery... If BN still do nothing over it, means BN actually accepts it. No wonder wen i saw it on the news...doesnt look like tis guy son..look more like a mat rempit. By the way, just to shed some light on this issue, because i see one or two posts here from people who don't know head or tail about malaysian political scene. Raja Petra is an opposition figure with a hugely popular, widely-followed blog that the malaysian govt tried to ban at one time (and ended up looking ridiculous when mirror sites easily circumvented the ban...) He is related to royalty and being well-educated, could've led a comfy, priveleged life away from the public eye - but he rightfully chose to make noise and spoke out against corruption, abuse of power, etc. Anyway, this latest news, the arrest of his son for petty crime, seems a calculated move by the govt to embarass him. But in true Raja Petra style, he's managed to turn the tables on his opponents. Notice that in his apology, he has once again warmed up to his pet topic of widespread corruption and abuse of power. In apologizing, he also pointed out the police actually demanded a bribe This kind of allegation is easily-believed, but hard to prove, unless he recorded the phone call... ↡ Advertisement
