PS: why i only put philips bulb... i use osram before, it do not last, i change to extreme vision, it last me a year longer before i sold my car.

never DIY all this after i change car... i think should be easy.

 

anyway if you going < 4000k... must as well do not change (just my opinion)

I think those 3600k or 3900k are less yellowish than stock one right? Stock one whats the colour temperature like? Really yellowish imo.

Have been having a serious tot of buying the sylphy. Really a choice between it and altis. And price is likely the winner.

 

Was told by se that body kit, gps display and reverse cameras is the diff for the Signature and ask else is same.

 

Is that worth the difference in price? ?

U can squeeze your se for the sme integrated head unit (from signature series) and front back cameras. Only thing they cannot give u is the body kit and subwoofer and 2 additional speakers from signAture series.

I also noticed the 2 soaker at the rear windshield, Premier has it too. But se told me it's only 4 speaker for Signature too. Seems the 2 additional rear speaker is dummy?

 

Any signature driver hear sound from the 2 soaked?

The specification for Signature Edition is "Premium sound system (4+2 speakers)". That means there should be 6 speakers? I still not sure how to hear the balanced 2 speakers and I cant see from the boot.

From what I know. All Sylphy, from factory, comes with 6 speaker "cut-outs", 1 at each door, 2 at the rear.

 

Normal Premium edition comes with 4 speakers, 1 at each door, the 2 at the rear are dummy. Someone in this thread checked and verified.

 

Signature Edition supposedly comes with 4+2 speakers. So I suspect 4 is the default 4, with the additional 2 at the rear being rear speakers.

 

Whats happening now is, I hear sounds only from the 4 speakers at the doors, none from the rear. When I open the boot to check for speakers, I don't see any. Will probably check during my 1k servicing. Not a majority problem, just some missing stuff.

You can ask your SE to give you, as free gift, but if he / she doesn't. Its just another $1k(?) top-up.

 

Its up to you if you like the Signature Edition or not, person preference. Some bros here like them, some of them find it a hassle.

 

Btw the Signature Edition comes with fog lights as well.

I'd think 2 missing speakers would be a major car of misrepresentation.

 

I personally don't like body kits and find fog lights unnecessary.

That's why don't wanna pay for these items. Will try to ask se for freebie.

Btw. Does our Sylphy come with DRL? Are the LED lights suppose to be DRL? Want to install but seems to be illegal to retrofit. However.. If the car comes with DRL already, then adding some wouldn't be illegal.

In the new Sylphy there is no DRL. You can turn on the LED lights manually by turning the knob one step. Two steps will turn on the head lights also.

The 1.8 and 1.6SSS Sylphy did come with auto DRL. For 1.6 Sylphy, TC bring in with no auto-headlight and that is why the DRL needs to be manually turn on. I think TC wants to make more profit and so for the 1.6, TC cut here and cut there to make the price competitive when comparing to Toyota Altis.

Yes, I heard that Kia K3 comes with full features and with price tag lower than Sylphy. But, haha, when I knew that I already booked Sylphy. But anyway as long as my passengers are comfortable and like my Sylphy, I am very happy liao.

The one thing I likes Sylphy is the big boot space which only Jetta can compare with.

That is precisely the issue. Korean car and Japanese car same price? Of course most people would choose the Japanese car. Japs have been in the industry longer than the Koreans, and though they are catching up, it would still take them some time.

 

I actually tried both. My family preferred the Sylphy. More spacious and practical, compared to the K3, though the K3 looks more sporty and has more tech stuff.

 

I think it boils down to the use of the car. More driver oriented-car, K3. More family-oriented car, Sylphy.

Sadly. This is the truth. Many feature the 1.8 have, 1.6 missing. Thought the difference should be the engine only.

 

However I think the 1.8 or SSS also don't have DRLs. When I say DRL mean when the car turn on, the LEDs should light up, not the headlights or tail lights.
