Similar issues with my ride. Told TC, they say if want to check and redo, need go Lok Yang. Because there they got the contractor for solar films. If you drop off your car at Ubi or Lengkee, they need to drive your car to Lok Yang. So its like your choice.

Btw, heard redo solar film is a one day job.

I just called the LK svc centre then they ask to call Bukit Timah SC. BT SC told me they can make arrangement for contractor to come down fix but only on weekday mornings... Sian sia, need to find time to go down on week day morning..

Were your solar film and camera installed by Tan Chong during new car delivery?

Solar film needs 2 to 4 weeks to be fully cured after installation. If you attached items like cameras or suction holders onto the film during first few days, it may compromise the adhesion of that particular area. If you go and do your own solar film outside, most reputable vendors will advice you as such. They will also tell you not to wind down the windows during first 2 days. This is not observed with new car deliveries due to rushing for customers. Perhaps when you reinstall your solar film with Tan Chong, tell them you will paste the camera yourself. If you are very careful, observe the procedure for the IU unit as well.

I reinstalled my Sylphy's front solar film like 5 times with different vendors. Each time after installation, I attached the camera onto the stem of the rear view mirror for a couple of weeks before fixing it onto the film permanently. During first few days, I try to park the car under hot sun to speed up the curing. Just sharing.

After 2 months plus of driving my sylphy and almost 4500km, i started to notice some small bubbles on the solar film on my windscreen. The part where the front cam is attached is also starting to peel off... Other panels are ok though. Anyone else has similar experiences? This is the only issue i have with my sylphy so far.

Nissan's cars solar film is house brand and installed by Tan Chong for all new car unless you opt out. So just need to go back to TC and they will re-install the solar film. Maybe because of Solar film installation and needed to hold on for few days, I waited for more than 7 days after car registered before my car is ready. Anyway I will monitor my car after the mileage reach 5k. Now is only 2.8k.

Yup, mine all installed by TC during new car delivery. All stock. Only thing i bought for the car is 2 small neck pillows [laugh]

Cams they all installed together with the car before delivery. Don't think they got time to let the films cure properly.... Also my fault for rushing them for delivery. [:p]

Anyone experienced tiny tiny bubbles from the solar films? Only visible from outside and under close inspection for mine. Afraid they will bubble up over time. Is this because the films didn't cure properly after application?

Ps. First time experience with this. Last time simple car, no such stuff.

Oh. Btw your car comes with spot lights from the factory? Does your instrument panel have an indication when it is on? Similar like the headlights. Stated on the manual.

Just got to check it this morn.

There is an indicator on the instrument panel, but it does not light up when the fog light is turned on.

I think this is mediocre on TC's part for not wiring the fog light to the indicator when it is already available.

Nope, not mediocre. TC do not even wire it to their display car. So when I made the feedback, the service advisor say don't have, since display car also don't have, LL cannot do anything.

I understand that the fog lights are locally fitted, but how hard can it be to connect an additional relay to the instrument cluster. Do things also don't want to do it well. Come on.

Anyone here interested in a FB group for Sylphians? [bounce2]

Apparently the Qashqai I test drove yesterday also had radio reception issues. Could it be a Nissan thing?

You test drove the unit at Ubi? Maybe you went to their usual test drive route which is go to Paya Lebar airbase there which surely might have some radio reception issues. [bounce2]

Manage to get reply from mediacorp:

"MediaCorp carried out a scheduled maintenance on Thursday 18 June 2015. Thereafter, radio transmission power is reduced slightly till 10 July. Should viewers experience weak reception at home, please advise them to position the FM antenna nearer to the window. Alternatively, radio listeners may tune in via Toggle and MeRadio mobile app during the maintenance period. For car radio, reception may be affected during this maintenance period depending on where you are in relation to our transmission tower at Bukit Batok. We are doing the maintenance so as to serve our TV viewers and radio listeners better as we provide broadcasting service 24/7. We have taken all measures for the broadcast services to continue to operate during this period. We will expedite the maintenance works and we hope that the power can be restored before 10 July 2015. Therefore, we hope to seek your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
