guys,

Just collected my 1.6 sylphy last week, I observed there will be a drop in rpm from 2k+ to 1k plus during the 40km to 50km range when I move from stationary. It will then move back to 2k+ rpm to continue accelerate. Is this how CVT behave?

Hi

Just drove back from Genting.

RPM is 2K at 120km/hr. Going up Genting is quite smooth, no point flooring the acceleration for more power, all controlled by CVT.

Yeah. It seems to be the characteristics of this car. But if u step harder, this effect is gone.

Do anyone here know where is the air-con filter? I checked the internet and most mentioned, it is in the centre of the area of the dashboard. Today just collected my car but can't find where is the filter. Checked centre of the dashboard from the driver side, but it not there. The other side is blocked by the glove box. No time to find out how to remove the glove box yet.

If anyone know please share with me, I am think of getting some air-con filter online and fix myself. Thank you.

Those who have got the new Sylphy (2014 version).

What is done for the first 1k service? I was told that oil change is not required till you hit 10k, which means that the cars come with Synthetic engine oil. 1k service is only "verification". ??

Hi, you can check out this page which lists details of all the servicing packages. The first 3 servicing (1k, 5k, 10k) is package F.

http://www.nissan.com.sg/ForOwners/servicePackage.cfm

For 1k servicing, the engine oil is changed. Similarly at 5k and 10k servicing. Normally these 3 servicing are free with new Nissan car purchase. However, the oil used is mineral oil. You can top up some money for Fastflo fully synthetic oil (5W-30), or bring your own.

The first 3 servicing will be using mineral oil. At the 3rd servicing, you have the option to top up $45 to change to fully synthetic oil.

Any 1.6 Sylphy owners here changed their headlight to projector / HID / bi-xenon? Like those on the 1.8? Cause the stock halogen really don't match the LED lights.. Super bad mismatch.

TC changed my front cam finally. Problem resolved.

Noticed that the old one, the version was V1.0.5 while the new one is V1.0.7.

Could have been a firmware issue or an old stock.

Any news about the 6-speakers?

I can find 4 door-speakers but can't find the additional two speakers.

Based on my old CRV, after having 4 door-speakers, the next 2 speakers can be a pair of

tweeters placed in the front.

If TC forgot to add in the additional 2 speakers, I think should highlight this matter to them.

Will do so on my next 5k servicing.

You car your choice! $100k. Got to get something you like and are really comfortable with.

Anyway hope other Signature owners can verify the no. of speakers.

I can't find the additional 2 speakers either...

If they missed out on this, I hope they will honour it by giving a pair of tweeters.

Confirmed with Nissan Singapore over via Facebook that there are only 4 speakers, and that info on sgcarmart was inaccurate. They have since changed it. Hope this clarifies the doubt with fellow Sylphy owners!

Btw. Those with fog lights installed by TC, is there an indicator on the dashboard showing that they are on? Similar light the headlights. By right there should be, also stated in owner's manual, but mine doesn't. Anyone facing same issue?

Jialat man! This can be considered as a misrepresentation, legally speaking.

I remembered my SE told me that it has 6 speakers with a subwoofer.

I don't think a pair of tweeter would cost more than $50!

Would be keen on this too... if you find the solution.

I bought myself some Philips Blue Vision Ultra. 4000K bulbs. Within LTA regulations. Haven't had time to install them, most probably over the weekend. Will update how it looks.

I just sent an email to Nissan's feedback and asked them to clarify on this issue whether a mis-quote by Nissan earlier. 4 or 6 speakers are not important to me but a quote is a quote. Nissan should not mis-represent. My SE also told me got 6 speakers.

Going for my 1k servicing on Monday. Shall ask my SE and relevant service personnel on the matter. Seems like there are quite afew of us with this issue.. Wonder if we have enough people to make a group feedback to Nissan / TC about this matter such that they do something about it.

So far, we got only 3? Including myself.

I am also one of the Signature owners. Got my car in Jan. Count me in if you are going to complain. I still not happy they didn't resolve the occasional boom boom sound when I drive.
