Turbocharged

Stock brake pads usually lasts longer as they are using hard compound material, but at the expense of less bite. For my previous 2 new auto cars, the stock pads lasted about 75,000 - 80,000km before I changed them. Some aftermarket brake pads give better bite, but last shorter mileage due to softer compound used for the pads. These typically lasts only around 30,000-40,000km.

yes, that's true.. i'm using ebc yellow stuff, lasted me about 30k km.. changed them out with about 4mm left

some time ago i bought a pair of Ferodo brake pad from a guy called Robert.....but has lost e contact. Any bros can help enlighten?? [;)]

Ferrodo brake pad here kenna condemn by Australia forums ppl like mad. It's pretty cheap though but no one want to buy it, i did some research first before decided on RDA for my SUV. The premium pads here are mainly EBC, RDA and Bendix.

Better still, do light servicing n do point checks...

Nothing beats a pleasant, worry-free drive...

Neutral Newbie

Jus for your info

Organic brake pad - cheap, less sound and dust but braking no good.

Metallic brake pad - slighly expensive, some sound and dust but good bite for braking so rotor will wear out faster(wat do u expect when u have metal against metal)

Nothing is perfect...

mintex if you're driving a conti, stock if you're on a jap or korean sedan. Reason being most conti cars have stock brakepads which give out hell a lot of brake dust.

Any good and decent brand for brake pad to recommend? I am not the kind who drive very fast. So is stock brake pad sufficient?

If you are not the kind who drive very fast, stock would be sufficient.

usualli getting aftermarket type of brake pad better or stock pad better? Abit confuse which to get

Aftermarket brake pads give slightly better braking power than stock ones. But if you don't drive aggressively, stock pads would be sufficient.

OIC.. So the brake dust will stick to rim.. No wonder my back rim always more dirty than the front rim. Thanks.. :D

Should be the other way round. The front brakes will contribute more to the braking then the rear. There should be much more brake dust generated in the front brakes then the rear.

One thing I hate about Mintex pads... screechy. Mintex pads can be very noisy... don't like them at all.
