there r things that are not worth paying like ERP charges. it doesnt matter its just $1.

its like telling ppl...u are earning 5K and yet u are not willing to pay for $8 coke? why sld i pay $8 for a coke at pub when I can get 1.5l bottle at less than 2 bucks?

Talking about ERP and drinks reminds me of my ex-colleagues. They always complain about ERP and 10, 20 cents stuff but when we go pub, they would "fight" one another to pay for drinks. Best part is one guy complained about ERP increasing 20 cents right after winning the "fight" to pay for $180 worth of drinks. haha [confused][confused][confused]

Thanks for the update. Yes, I am aware of that. Even Wheellock Place has increased its parking charges.

Payment for drinks for an amount of S$180 is voluntary mah whilst ERP charges increasing 20 cents or more don't have much choice.....

oh.. that's not a good analogy..

in pub, you get the music, nice hi-ball glass with maybe pineapple and mint leave for the coke which is half filled with ice.. at the same time, if you are at the correct watering hole, you get some eye candy..

but for the less than 2buck bottle of softdrink, you can only have it outside..

ok la...why pay $3.50 for chicken rice when nearby stall is offering $2.50. lol

Want to drive to Orchard Road and park there, $1.00 is nothing. If heart pain about the $1.00, don't drive there, simple. Then at least those who don't worry about counting dollars and cents can drive in smoothly and find parking easily.

i must say i agree. myself whenever i go orchard (which is quite often), i always drive there and pay whatever amount it charges, even erp each time $2 i also just drive thru and enjoy the breeze traffic. i dont really care. put it this way, i already pay so much for my car and petrol, what is five to ten dollars more to really enjoy it. sometimes i go from one shopping centre to another and pay more than ten over dollars each day, but when i think i have made good use of my car for myself and family to enjoy, i am more than happy.

They need to put up a sign saying if you exit straight there is an ERP gantry, and to remain outside CBD turn to the right exit.

Anyway would rather park at B2 wheelock and walk to ion... (provided i can even get a parking spot at WP nowadays)

I went shopping at orchard yesterday and saw that wheelock is full.

anyway, I prefer to park at paragon coz leaving the place is easier.. lots are better as well.

ION have too many turns up to the carpark.. while wheelock's access up to surface level is a but troublesome..

unless you are telling us they are the same, in term of food quality, quantity, environment etc..

if the above are the same, then the waiting time is definitely not going to be the same coz everyone will flock to $2.50. thus the $3.50 one can be had in minutes compared to waiting for $2.50..

When I reached Wheellock around 2 pm, it was left with only a few lots at B3. Yup. I agree with you that the acess level is a bit unfriendly, to me, especially the entrance/exit slope between B2 and B3. [sweatdrop]

If Wheellock is full, I will go for Forum.

Usually if I go Orchard on PH/Sunday I will park at Shaw House. Because not only

cheaper($2.50/entry) and avoid ERP and jam. It also easier for me to go home also.

But recently they just increase their price to $3.50/entry after 6pm and whole day

PH/Sunday. But for me still ok because of convenient.

And if I go Orchard more than half a day on weekday/Sat. I will park at Novena sq also.

Now day if you park your car at Orchard more than half a day. It can easily cost you more than

$20 and never mention about jam and ERP also.
