Richard2461 Neutral Newbie October 23, 2009 Author Share October 23, 2009 think the paying over here is not considered as saving time. paying for volating a custom rule will be more appropriate in this case. true enough it might be foc item but when you bring things into a foreign country, you will be subjected to their laws and regulations. though to jb is just a drive away but same rules will apply. so they have all the reasons to make you pay. you could have taken the things out since they are not of use anyway but you didnt. they want you to pay cos they want to send the message across - dont take the rules for granted. yea we can all say TS might be the suay one cos others might have gotten away with such minor issues but well when such things also bo pians right. no way to argue through one la. just blame on luck lor. ya agree with you.i got check by a woman custom.most man custom will close 1 eye.but on that day a malay guy also get fine but i dunno how much he pays just for a seal stickers. The rules are there just whether they 1 2 exercise it or not. Don exercise doesnt mean don have. They close 1 eye - u r lucky(most of the time actually). Like one of the bro said: Don take for granted. Somemore they ask for $20 with receipt. IMHO, You are just unlucky that day where the officer decided to follow the rules. When my friend in a audi got stop by a officer, he told him, I no money, If you want, you can follow me to the nearest bank and I try using my creditcard to draw. The police let him go. The more guai lan you are, the more unforgiving the other party becomes. true this. i also kanna before. there was an lcd projector in the car. the jb custom fella asked for rm200 tax. i was very upset but what if there was a fine print somewhere i'm not aware of? still i played it calm, apologised profusely, said it was not for sale but used in presentations to client. he's getting more and more upset seeming i'm not forking out $ to him, but my profuse apologies worked. he agreed to store it in the office, and I collect on the way back.minor inconvenience. i'm sure if i guai lan, will end up in TNP.
