as long as can sell well, they will put any tag on the card. the glx is almost at the end of its product life cycle, yet CNC still manage to 'innovate' it.

hearing it from the horses mouth will be more accurate rather then those who commented super good/poor fc.

i'm not sure abt the manual version but the previous auto (CVT?) is really really sluggish. i have driven it for a day and basically its nothing more then a city cruiser. i maybe wrong cuz i'm driving a manual car myself or i dun really understand how CVT gear box works.

From my experience (i am driving a CVT Lancer CS3)

The FC for city driving is around 10Km/Ltr while if you are majority high way, (70% like me??) you can actually hit a average of 13~14km/Ltr. I think if you comparable to altis but loss to Axio in term of FC.

As for Acceration, if you are willing to rev it, it can pick up quite fast. (The moving off for CVT might be slightly slower than Auto transmistion , but once you hit pass 40km, i find that the pick up is quite good.)

Heard from mine neighbour his colleague driving a Manual version can hit 15~16km/ltr but this is only hearsay.

Nah. What I mean is that the legacy of the MR NOW seems to be diluted due to this new lancer MR.

Maybe my phrasing sucks, but what I mean is that the LRT 1.8 deserves its 'Ralliart' moniker, with the latter not being abused in this case. and IMO I find that there should be a 'MR' badge put there too, in the LRT, at that time.

Yes, I agree with u 100% that the new Lancer MR diluted the MR badge... a cheapo marketing ploy for the local dealer to milk a last round of $$ from a car with a 10+ year-old platform [thumbsdown] I just hope the average car buyer is smart enough to realise that...

As for the Ralliart... well, it has reached a next level of performance with the new version... however, too costly n not much market in SG

there will still be buyers for this MR. the glx is still a good car afterall

yes, a good car but the inside (drivetrain, engine etc.) is really dated... I'm sorry to say

Dated but still quite efficent. Afterall, the dated toyota (even after countless face lift) is still very sellable.

vios, cruz, forte not too bad

Vios is too small compare to Lancer CS3. But Cruz, Forte and Avante will be stong competitor.

You might want to add in Polo too. At least the rear passengers seat is bigger than Vios.
