act i hv been driving the CS3 for coming 4 yrs...it is a reliable and proven car...so if u r looking for something cheap and sporty, do not miss this...

one very unsung quality of this car is its excellent FC....it is not uncommon for the manual rides to do 14-15km/l.

Hi, i have seen the car itself. All parts can factory fitted from Japan. But the pricing that C&C is selling now is 58988 with full accessories. the engine is the same as the old GLX. but the Auto one is with Mivec engine with 4 speed step-tronics.

i just called c&c and they informed both models are running on the old 1.6l sohc engine. no mivec or watsoever. tats doing the MR tag no justice at all. sigh.

I thought manual usually have a better FC than auto version? (Not counting those with heavy right foot)

hmm..basically,its the same kindda engine they're using. For auto, the only difrence are the steptronic gearbox and speedo. oh ya..and this so call MR version comes wif rear brake disc.. not drums anymore.. :D

Turbocharged

is step-tronics. better than CVT?

Actually steptronic is still CVT, just that it has a manual shifter. Something like the Colt Ver R.

(I'm assuming it's the INVECS III steptronic)

I think for this car it's 4-speed torque converter with manual override, or some call it tiptronic.

INVECS is for CVT, which is steel belt & pulley. Very different between the two.

wah... den i guess there's not much difference in the glx version and the current MR version liao le... den y r they introducing dis version? guys, worth buying?? i had heard that the glx version on pple commenting that the fc is gd but there r some who commented that the fc is lousy... dun really noe who to trust as i've considered tat model b4... wat do u guys think?

hearing it from the horses mouth will be more accurate rather then those who commented super good/poor fc.

i'm not sure abt the manual version but the previous auto (CVT?) is really really sluggish. i have driven it for a day and basically its nothing more then a city cruiser. i maybe wrong cuz i'm driving a manual car myself or i dun really understand how CVT gear box works.

at 56,988, i think there are better cars to buy at tat price. if u dun mind 2nd hand u can even buy a 1.8l ralliart lancer turbo and still come home wif some loose change.

Reminds me of the 1.8 Ralliart Turbo which Mitsubishi used to sell here before the launch of the EX.

I really hope the MR badge is not abused here.

thats not quite correct...

the previous Lancer Ralliart Turbo 1.8 has a slightly bigger engine, light turbo, upgraded suspension with lower height, ricardo seats, HID, strut bar

its no Evo, but very much better and different to the standard lancer at the time...

please get your facts right - in what way is the Ralliart name abused for the Lancer Ralliart Turbo 1.8? it did not claim to be Evo

Nah. What I mean is that the legacy of the MR NOW seems to be diluted due to this new lancer MR.

Maybe my phrasing sucks, but what I mean is that the LRT 1.8 deserves its 'Ralliart' moniker, with the latter not being abused in this case. and IMO I find that there should be a 'MR' badge put there too, in the LRT, at that time.
