Usually i put my car key and house key in the car while washing car. Got one time while drying the handle, i trigger the lock area and my car locked itself with my car and house key inside. My wife wont be home till late at night. After touching all the possible sensors around the car for a good 5mins, i managed to unlock the car from outside. Heng ar. Now car keys are always in my pocket when washing car.

If your car key is inside the car, even you locked the car from outside, how come you cannot unlock the car again from outside le? Thought the car can lock and unlock if the car key is within the car range, no matter car is inside pocket or inside the car?

So contradicting. Advanced tech for cars means people get lazier and more redundant.

Self parking, self driving etc.

Ten years down the road people won't even be able to park their car by themselves.

"Oh, why do I need to learn how to park? My car can do that by itself."

So many sensitive people in this forum lol. Talking about pros and cons of keyless entry become "people cannot embrace change". Must be our ageing population.

I don't think you got the gist of the post. It means to educate yourself on tech rather than hearsay or "I think".

When one cannot even think about googling for the manual in English , speaks a lot about the individual. Using the “it’s in Japanese” is the best way to neutralize any intention

Oh well....

In Sg, most driver in dire needs of self driving vehicles.

There are too many lousy drivers around.

In my opinion, knowing how to park a car is secondary skill.

A lot of drivers have never learn how to drive on expressway.  That's a SERIOUS concern.

Nowadays and your time is a totally different driving environment.

You should be able to unlock again presssing the sensor on your door since the key fob is within range.

Keyless key fobs are pretty useful for many aspects.

I actually download the manual app for my car model in my phone.

Worse case scenario is both HP and key fob have no battery power.

It doesnt make sense if keyless function the way you describe as it totally will not be secure. If the key is in the car, you cant lock it from outside. My old 08 swift sport already got this function. Same for my current fxt. Try locking the car with the key inside will trigger an alarm. I know this as i trigger the alarm many times when washing car. Lol.

But forester got this special function whereby you can delibrately lock the car from outside while leaving the key inside. This is for those sunshine boys and gals to go surfing or swimming w/o bringing their keys along. I think it is done by pressing a combi button on the tailgate to lock and unlock. But i locked my car from the passenger door and i managed to unlock by anyhow pressing the tailgate button. I think this is a bug in the system or the sensors are not working well.

‘Educate yourself on tech’ lol ok.

I’m so sorry if I offended the old people here. I thought we were having a discussion. Guess some people too sensitive?
