Once there is this lady driver tailgating me at CTE during evening peak hr in lane one, i try to keep to one side of the lane to show her that the traffic is jam pack in front of me (i am driving a mpv scare she can't see the traffic condition infront of me) and no point tailgating me, but she don't seem to understand, in the end i manage to find slot in lane 2 and switch lane for her to move forward. Than once she is clear i manage to switch back to lane 1 right behind her, the next things she did was winding down her window and show me her center finger. [hur]

I was like wtf... [furious]

later when i share the incident with some of my friends than i realize why she do that....

She must have got my message "i am tailgating her" just to make sure she know how it feel like to be tailgated when the traffic is so pack.

Maybe she is just horny and want to some bedside activities , tell u follow her home. Waste u never go. *. joking.

Next time , just jam brake , if women , give them one time jia lat lesson they will learn liaoz. Had a friend which did that.

i thing i noticed about SG drivers... 80-90% have no perception of how fast a car behind is approaching... lameasses

Not truth. the truth is they dont look at rear mirror. Refering to the 80~90% of the SG driver that is.

Hi all,

I am driving a 1.1Lit car.. Small cc.. From my experience, in a heavy traffic situation, if I'm travelling in lane 1, those bigger cc cars behind will start to tailgate.. However, once they realise that there is no space in front, they will start to keep a distance..

Therefore, in my opinion, the key thing is that if you are travelling in lane 1, do ensure that you do not leave a big gap in front.. Big gap to others means road hogging.. Once road hogging occurs, tailgating will start..

In the expressway, traffic situations may change from heavy to smooth traffic in an instant.. The car in front will start to speed up.. If I find that I cannot catch up with the car in front, I will switch to the 2nd lane and let the bigger cc cars have the first lane.. In this way, you prevent inconvenience to others and help the traffic to flow smoothly..

good bro! [thumbsup]

this is wad i call zee-dong...

i also practise this. seepeh seepeh hiong car, tailgate seeph hioong...

i siam lo...let u go lo...

doesnt lose anything... make singapore a gracious place... (somemore now foreigners lu lai lu zueh, sgporeans must united!)

So what if traffic is jam packed in front, she is likely to be more in a rush then you are.

I hate people who use excuses, just cause the car in front is driving at 80-90km/h, they feel driving at that same speed is ok cause they are blocked.

Most likely she fingered you cause you took so long to filter away..

In a rush or not in those peak hr situation eveyone is travelling at that kind of speed, to tailgate ppl just to give way to you will not help. Of couse she can continue to tailgate the front car but i don't think it will make much different.

BTW, I was at her backside all the way till the traffic is clear and i have to move to my exit.... maybe that is what she like after all... and not because she is in a rush.

guys, do whatever you want to do, but if and when you have your family (wife, kids, parents) with you in your car, do spare a thought for them. dont do anything that will endanger them, or scare them. you will only regret it, albiet too late.

Only problem is if the Lambo wants to play punk with him and jams brake, the QQ insurance will > 10,000 next year lol

Ever heard about All Local insurance company do not provide policy for a driver due to his/her high risk?

Driver was only driving a Nissan Sunny.

Today in KPE, evening peak. I was in lane 1, in front full of cars and i couldn't go any faster. In fact every lane was full.

A COE Civic came up and tail-gated really close. So close I couldn't see his steering wheel. After several minutes I got fed up  and gave a meaty tap on the brakes. This guy immediately backed off and kept a 20m following distance for the rest of the journey. Is this "fan jian" or what?

These people cause so many accidents and really asking for it. What purpose does it serve to tail-gate?

you are even worse. your action could have caused a chain collision a few cars back.

i've witness a selfish individual hogging the right lane. then when the car behind highbeam him, he braked just like u.

yes, the selfish individual got away safely, but the 5 cars behind him collided.

luckily i was on the centre lane. just imagine if a motorcyclist was involved.. it could have been fatal. leave these childish actions when you play on your ps3

Then some hoggers would come here to complain why the car insurance fee is getting higher. They forgot their childish act is one of the causes.

TS already mentioned that in front of his car is full of cars, so base on this, he is not road hogging. so there is no valid reason for the civic to tailgate him to pressure TS to go faster, as he cant (due to the cars in front of him). So I can understand why TS tap on his brake to tell the civic off to not to tailgate him. Because if TS has to do a emergency stop, perhaps due to the car in front stopping, then the civic behind may not be able to stop in time. As such, it is only right that TS try to ward off the civic behind him.

"IF" it happen to to an ambulance behind... would u think TS BRAKE as well? How sure are we that the white civic is not rushing? :>

... Well HAPPY BRAKING.. :>

dunwan ppl to tailgate then drive things like lambo, porsche, GTR lor.. i observe most ppl wun tailgate those cars.. no matter how slow they go.

i think the reason is most likely that if u hit into one of those car's rear, your insurance will get claimed big time and also most of the time they do not road hog and will give way if needed.
