Supersonic

Try putting more air[about 38-40 psi] to the tyres,it may help a bit,but the ride may suffer a bit.

Why dont you just get a 2nd hand wowo T5 ? Not that expensive mah.

Better than u mod here mod there, probably have to go illegal. Compromise on safety as well. And not cheap too.

i find it senseless to mod a altis.

Hi guys

My current ride is an 09 altis. I am currently finding it underpowered.

For the first 3 gears are ok as they are rather responsive but it is the 4th it is sluggish unless i turn off the a/c.

What are the improvements that i can do to improve the performance of my altis?

thanks in advance!

hahaha.. yah i think maybe i like to ' zhng ' the altis...so i can beat a a GTR35 hands down... [laugh]

I am toying with the idea of going to TRD at sin ming for some ideas...at least if mods recommend by them should be legit rite?

and definitely i would like to change my steering wheel.. it is very uncomfortable to hold at times and i've got blisters from it due to its ' skinny rims '...hahah i dunno whats that known as... are there available ones from toyota?

Actually i find that the Altis on other counts is actually quite decent i.e. NVH. Okay i concede that it doesn't corner like it is on rails but heck this is supposed to be a family car so please cast unrealistic expectations aside. I see Altis as having the sad fate as the Cruze, a potentially good all rounder which is let down by the engine. Spirit is willing but Heart is unwilling. At least the Cruze has the 6 speed auto.

And who do we have to blame for this rubbish? TMAP and TMT. Blast them again and again and again

Turbocharged

sell the Altis...buy a FD2R or a 4dr WRX(non hatchback version)...both are well all rounder with 4 doors and a proper boot..sure bring smiles to your face...

I would suggest blueprinting but expensive la.

Blueprinting does not exactly improve performance though.....

If steering wheel gor airbag or those hu control then wasted bro. If not, there is 1001 sports steering in the market.

no lar... no major ops under the hood... can afford it now. haha

juz like change some of the things in interior.....like, steering wheel, stereo (which will hang up abit intermittent), maybe speakers since most of the time sound muffled even when car is at a standstill, road noise from the wheels....

hey...u knowwhat? suddenly feel like buying a merc....hahahaha
