ah boy, uncle think you are very humble and nice. unlike laosaiboy who always goes 'my car my car' when it actually belongs to his mummy.

uncle here just bought the audi a6 2.8 MU for 179liap. powerful and small change for you.

either that, get the GeeTeeRrrrr.... if uncle's tigeress approved, limpeh long got the S5 or GeeTeeRrrr... let auntie cum again.

TS u might wanna conside volkswagen or a BMW 1series. abit more sporty and wont seem like u're driving lao peh's car.

but i think u shouldnt buy a new one. as its your first car. buy a second hand. den langa liao also not so heart pain.

i cant help but envy u thou. my first car was a 1.0 16yr old toyota. that cost $12k paid mainly myself.

errr, if someone were willing to spend $200k on a car, not for himself, but for his 18 year old kid, what makes you think he needs to save money? I bet he is overflowing with money! 200k, i concur, 2nd hand GTR. i envy you! [nosebleed]

I suppose it is a question of whether one approaches the issue from the angle of need. Because I get handed $10 by my parents does not mean I would then go out and spend as close to that amount as possible, but that's just me. Of course, your view is entirely valid too, there is no wrong or right.

Back on topic, I really like the A5 in the suite of conti cars I've seen. Of course, if budget permits, the S5 is even nicer.

i see your point. but frugality most probably is not a required virtue for someone when we are talking about 200k for a car for a kid. take the oppurtunity and get the 200k car. unless of course your dad is willing to pass u the remaining sum leftover from your car purchase for your personnal use, then i would get something cheaper around 100k and have 100k cash in hand!

suggest you get a car closer to $100K .. help your parents save money, although they may be "filthy" rich.

plenty of powerful cars at that price, like Golf GTI, WRX etc ...

get used to driving a car, getting scratches and dents and etc ... before changing to next car.

bros, i've just got my license...i want something comfortable yet powerful. what do u all recommend?
