hi all...

ok i'm a goondu to ask this....

anyways... some cars have a Fuel Consumption meter in build with the car... tat states like '9.5km/litre'... also states like how many more kilometers till the tank becomes empty... example of a normal family saloon with this function is none other than the forte....

now the question is... can we fit this FC meter onto any other regular cars without this function? like does APEXi or Pivot or Delfi have a meter that can read FC? what sensors parts are involved?

Many Many Many thanks.......... [:)]

Actually a lot of cars nowadays has this function liao.

Even the new Nissan Cabstar has it. Got a real-time fuel consumption meter too.

no offense meant but...

the money spent buying such stuff can be spent on pumping more fuel... That's why I've been avoiding gadgets that promise to "save fuel".

Best FC indicator is my foot. [laugh]

i guess these meters are still usually reserved for more upscale cars although some lower-end models are fitted with them... wonder which ones...

actually the meter is not so accurate.

my previous ride need to -1km/liter, current ride need -0.5km/liter.

now, i don't even bother much by looking at it.

i think the best is to calculate by yourself.~

Get ScanGaugeII, can scan for error codes and display lotsa car/engine information instantly. Just plug into some holes below steering column.

My previous 2003 Honda Fit already got this FC meter liao. My present 2007 Airwave also got this meter. The new Fit, Stream, Civic, etc got real-time FC meter. It's like a norm in Honda cars liao.

In my opinion, not worth spending almost $300 to buy this Scangauge just to see your FC.

I have always suspected my FC meter has not been totally honest with me.

Can you imagine that? You own car lying to you? Something you provide shelter, bath and even admire it.

Me: Have you been drinking heavily again?

Car: Slightly only lah

Me: Then how come my petrol all gone?

Car: No lah, only 13km/l

Me: Then what happen to all the petrol?

Car: *shrugs* Ask the Fridge.....

[:(] *hurts

My in bulid ('04 Fit) FC gauge are not that accurate too.

Just a guideline to me.

If that you want to know your FC, the best is to a manual count between tanks.
