i once drove my ex-company's citroen berlingo. damn good van. very hardy and zippy. size is just nice, not too bulky, not too small. so it's easy to park and it still has lots of room to carry goods at the back.

I don't like the shape (very tortoise-like) but the engine is a gem. This is the same engine used in the Golf TDI. I believe it can be easily chipped to unless more horses :)

Roadtax is around <500 a yr now I believe. Insurance should be cheap too.

if really need a vehicle to transport good around, i will go for the Toyota Hilux or Mitsubishi Triton (those 4doors type)

super nice trucks. seldom see them on sg road (most r police trucks), but quite common in m'sia and bangkok.

i even contemplate changing my car to one, but too many question.

i have no doubt its a powerful truck, but qns like maintenance, FC etc prevented me from buying.

Hypersonic

Don't be :o by what I am going to say. The price of a double cab Triton is about S$90K now!

No doubt it is damn nice, esp the interior. But not being able to go Malaysia and travel above 70km/h is a big turn off for this monster. [thumbsdown]

There'r a few conti auto parts stockist in twn....get from them cheaper....but conti parts all along is more expensive than jipun & kimchi, tt 1 boh pian. Save on the fuel bills...pay more for the parts. Still o.k if u travel alot. :D
