:D I strongly agree with u bro,KIA Picanto is a great car. Mine almost 4yrs now,60K mileage and juz change the car battery and tyre. I hope to be more adventurous in tuning up or do some cosmetic changes on mine pica...but i kept it at stock condition. Im juz glad i had chosen Pica over some other brand of the same specs.

I believe,i seldom see any Picanto on highway or rdway having breakdwn. Only one puncture tyre...n tats mine...hehehehehe! [rolleyes]

True.

Sparrow might be small,

but 5 major organs all there.

my picanto also going strong after 4yrs+

bought it when it was 2 yrs old and drove for 2 yrs now.

made sure i went for regular servicing and so far no major problems except the auto door locking sometimes got problem must manually lock.. but i can live with it..

anyway i got a grouse abt picanto is the locking system, when the engine is on and you step on the brake it will auto lock all doors, so its impossible to leave the engine running and open the boot. mus kill the engine then the boot will unlock. unless u bring ur spare key around and manually unlock the boot. imo, very bad design

You can disable the auto lock feature if you dont like it mah.. for the boot unlocking, just unlock the drivers door and the boot will unlock too if your car comes with central locking. Dont have to kill the engine :)

oh ok,i did went for the launch of Kia Cerato Forte,to overtrade mine pica, they are only willing to go up to 9K only. Since i was at ubi then,I went out test driving Suzuki APV too. And Suzuki willing to take in 13K. Its was quite a difference, and C&C offer lesser. I hope KIA could review its customer royalty program, instead of trying to get new KIA follower, they should at least give those present KIA owner a royalty boost. Maybe, higher trade in will be a gd start. :D

I have ever sitted my friend's Picanto on NSHW, it could hit 160km/h still quite stable [thumbsup]

I believe u bro,but i did not press on much....mine only 150km/h. Its unintentionally actually,i am driving behind my dads Suzuki Swift goin to malacca and wen i look at the speedo its 150km/h and my gas pedal have even some more room to press on but i do not dare........hehehe! Amazing but true. [:)]

I was watching the price for Picanto for a few weeks. Price got up high crazely. Now close to 50000 for auto. Facelift add $3000 and then price is up another $2500 this week. What is going on? [bigcry]

omg...wat a price... me and wife tot of upgrading as our 3kids r growing fast. I guess, stuck with my Pica till COE expire..hehehe.

It's not safe to drive the Picanto at >120km/h at NSHW. Even more so if you are on stock 165 tires..

upgrade to 175 or 185 for better stablilty.

Loyalty program is important to keep business going.

healthy for both driver and dealer.

Win Win situation ma.

I can understand, my Forte reach 180km/h on NSHW horizon.

down slope 190km/h.

upslope abit problem.

With 125 BHP. I can only reach 160km/h with rev noise from the engine going up slope.

If your spec mention can, then no problem.

I test it out.

You should test it out to see if the spec of your car really tally.

That why i bring my forte for a fast and furious test ride to malacca.

Just to eat chicken rice ball and come back.

Lolz...

You try it some day too.

hi just to check whether do ur have any prob when selling your picanto or did the used car dealer offer very low because of the low omv? cause i saw 2 used aug2009 selling at 33k which is ard 20k lower than the new car so i can imagine that the seller really lose alot on that vehicle which make me worry if i will to buy n sell it 3 yr later will it be like low demand car n the dealer will make it sound worthless n eat very little?

You may also want to check the price the owners paid 2 years ago.

It is way less than new car prices today.

I drive the Getz 1.1 and it has the same engine as the Pica.

More than 3 years now and very reliable.

12 valve SOHC is also very kind to oil

and this 1.1 is a very smooth unit.
