Neutralsg 5th Gear June 3, 2012 Share June 3, 2012 (edited) CAR LINK ENTREPRISE C2 @ TURF CITY Just to share my personal bad experience with all of you. I recently purchased my car from CAR LINK ENTERPRISE C8 located at Turf City. The unit is C2. Upon viewing of the vehicle, the front compartment lock came off at the first instance when I open the compartment. The sales person by the name of ANDY immediately told me they will send it for repair and ensure that the lock is fix upon collection of my vehicle. I took his words since they are doing a business and would not want to tarnish their reputation over a car compartment issue. I paid a deposit and cleared all the paper works and drove off the vehicle. On that very SAME day, while I tried to open the compartment, the locked came off again! I realised that CAR LINK had simply use some glue to stick back the lock and hand the vehicle over to me. I was shocked by their dishonest behaviour and immediately called up Andy to ask him why the device is still not fix. He told me that this is due to wear and tear and is unavoidable! He then refer me to a workshop at woodlands and when the mechanic saw me, he said immediately that if the issue is regarding the COMPARTMENT lock, please don't bother to come because it is BEYOND repair! I ask him how could he say that when Andy the sales person from Car Link Enterprise refer me here. He told me he was the one that service the vehicle and the lock issue is a KNOWN issue all along and there is nothing he can do. I will have to call back ANDY to resolve this because the only way is to REPLACE THE ENTIRE COMPARTMENT WHICH COST $500-600! I was really fuming because I took time off from work and travel to woodlands only to know that is a waste trip and ANDY is simply trying to waste time on the issue! I immediately call him and ask him why a businessman like him with a big shop want to cheat on such issues and his irresponsible words really shock me and I ask him if he is going to be responsible for this issue and he said that he will check with his BOSS and call me back. The call never come from him. I called Andy almost every alternate day and he will always repeat the same words "I NOT SURE, I NEED TO CHECK WITH BOSS. ... BOSS HAS NOT GET BACK TO ME.... It has been more than 2 weeks and he is still using the same delay tactic to shun away my problem. I told him that we are just car buyers and you are opening a business here. This kind of unethical approach is really lousy and dishonest! I told him if he is going to drag this matter, there is nothing I can do except to warn fellow buyers NOT TO FALL INTO THIS TRAP and shun away from CAR LINK. Until now I still have not hear anything from CAR LINK ENTERPRISE C8 on the compensation of my compartment lock. If they decide to play punk and avoid me, there is nothing I can do except to educate and keep fellow buyers aware of their UNETHICAL APPROACH IN DOING BUSINESS. Attached is the shop photo which I personally went down and took. Pls note that this thread is meant to warn and share with fellow buyers not to patronise this dishonest car dealer and I welcome CAR LINK ENTREPRISE to response and challenge my thread if you are gentleman enough although I don't pin any hope. Regards, Is the company you refer Car Link Enterprise or AC Carlink? If what Stanley79 Post No. 1295 is true in that they are separate entity, is your bad experience with Car Link Enterprise or AC Carlink or both? Further, your other thread TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AC CAR LINK ENTERPRISE with a *copy and paste* post of above adds to the confusion unless you have bad experience with both companies since they are apparently separate entities. It's best you clarify or have the Moderators assist you to reedit the other thread title if they are unrelated otherwise you may get into unnecessary problem if the innocent one is dragged into this confusion. As regard the problem with the compartment lock, perhaps you should have: a) have the agreement written in black and white as advised in many posts within this thread prior to concluding the purchase b) approach their management for a solution Advisable for you to look into correcting any error you may have made in your thread title regarding Car Link Enterprise and AC Car Link. Hope your new ride is worth the $ despite the compartment issue. Have a nice day! Edited June 3, 2012 by Neutralsg ↡ Advertisement

I saw that there is a black list section here so I also update my thread here and I provide the same background because I wish to substantiate my case before I request to black list car link. Any way, car link is already No.2 in the black list. My issue and complain is against CAR LINK ENTREPRISE C2 . I had already informed moderator to help me to remove "AC" and edit C8 to C2. My sincere apologies to AC Car Link Enterprise C8 for the mix up. I bought my car from CAR LINK ENTERPRISE C2.

Stanley79 Neutral Newbie June 3, 2012 Share June 3, 2012 All those defend dealers kind are those with low post counts, you know I know.... This industry, really no horse run. How bout using weird ID with high post counts? Stirrer or ??? We are here discuss things, and not to misleading anyone with one or two bad experience. What if it's from some nasty customer who want to tarnish the dealer name? Or could it be one dealer wanting to tarnish another's reputation? Everything is possible. Fact that some low post member who join in... Ain't looking into defending of dealer. But to clarify on any misleading content.

Seriously, u are buying a used car. Don't expect to pay peanut and get something as good as new. Regards, to the mileage thing... Does it really matter? Seriously, I don't mind high mileage. Most importantly, the engine must be in good working condition. If the demand for paying peanut to get "low" mileage car is high... Then don't expect adjusting of mileage will stop... When the demand stops, the adjust will stop. By the way, if u are not taking any loan. Pass the cashier order to the dealer and ensure the vehicle was transfer to ur name on the spot. What receive transfer pin and what LTA office. Don't you know transaction can be done immediately on the spot in the dealer office if the vehicle is not under finance? My bad if I had offended u. But u do sound alike Singapore Press Holding's Christopher Tan, who know peanuts.. And still want to anyhow teach car buyer things that is not common in the trade. Lastly, I am not any car dealer....And was nvr a car dealer. But is someone who is quite familiar with this trade. And I can say I am someone that definitely know this trade well than that act smart Christopher. Only thing is, he can make a joke out of himself in nation wide newspaper while I can only do it in the forum. Anyway, I am most glad to help try to explain to your on any misleading content. Well as less, I will try. Anything that I am unsure. I won't comment further. Edited June 3, 2012 by Stanley79
Stanley79 Neutral Newbie June 3, 2012 Share June 3, 2012 i also bought my present van from Mayfair, didn;t know they also in the list. Heng i got good experience with them See, that is why? No everyone can be pleased by dealer. Everyone starts finding fault on car dealer... Next time in future, no more ppl dare to be a dealer... Then ur will have to purchase car directly from seller... Who's going to help ur settle seller existing car, do transfer and let u accuse if anything goes wrong in the transaction or car? Go Sgcarmart direct? Let them solve for u? I doubt so.... After the transaction, u are on ur own... And for sure if things goes wrong, there's nothing Sgcarmart can do... By then, u will be cursing the seller for ur whole life. And don't blame anyone. But ur self for overlooking the things that car dealer offer and help. Just because of some "bad" experience some of them have.
Stanley79 Neutral Newbie June 3, 2012 Share June 3, 2012 Sorry Sgcarmart, I m not trying to spoil ur direct seller buyer approach's business here. But just pointing out some points here. Otherwise, one day, we might be seeing, seller blacklist name list here... Sincerely apology.
