Acemundo Supercharged July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 i cannot understand our legal system the swiss guy graffiti case, the work is at least pleasant to the eyes compared to mr chong 's work the intent was mischief while the intent of chong is malice the other difference is the status of the victim in both cases. seems to me, all talk about intent, severity of the act in the eyes of the law are for show only. eventually, the case is decided based on the status of the victim. Fcw75 Hypersonic July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 You are right. Justice is based on the status of the victim. If you are an elite, action will be swift and fast. If you are a peasant.....

Carer 2nd Gear July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 It is not possible. 1. he made a false statement - this is an offence 2. he committed a vandalism crime. while it is not a public property, he still will be prosecuted. In any case, you will still need a lawyer to make claims.
Adrianli Hypersonic July 6, 2010 Author Share July 6, 2010 I just called the AGC QSM department and was told to reply to that email if I want to appeal my case. I still have to beg them to bring up the case. WTF  Thank you Simon for the tip to call up AGC quickly before warning letter sent to Mr Chong. Thks guys for the support. I am too shock to believe that the case has gone down the drain with AGC with 3 DVD full of HD video evidence.
S2077s 1st Gear July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 Maybe can send all these to some feature program on Channel 8. Hope that they will pick this up and publicise it. This is clearly a problem considering that even with recorded evidence and repeated act that the malice intender gets away with it. It should also question the authorities on how such case should be handled. It is solely the responsibility of the victim to take it up with the offender? What if the victim is a less technologically savvy person or whom does not have the financial capability to seek justice via the proper means which will cost almost definitely a consideration amount monetarily as well as in effort? As a car owner, all should be very concerned about this case. And the 3 times repeat offender with previous record for falsifying accident claim reports, such character and doings should never be condone by society in general. It goes a long way to ensure insurance claims are not fradulent, isn't it which what the Automotive insurance industry is trying to achieve? And our educational system to produce citizens whom believe in integrity which contributes to our first world society as a whole. And not forgetting the fact that the MRT grafitti guy got a national mention on TV and even by MM Lee during one of his recent international speeches. Surely this is telling the world that in Singapore, we do it our way, no one gets away by pulling a stunt that upsets the public and our systematic approach to undoing such negative elements in society is simply not above the law. This scratcher guy may be not commiting a criminal act, but his deterence and repeated act is almost akin to terrorist gestures. Its like he has declared war on the appointed victim and proclaiming that no one gets away when they have stepped on his tail. He needs to be re-educted or put away. We cannot have such people amongst us to progress.
Carer 2nd Gear July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 Maybe u shld ask the person incharge: if after warning, he still comes back and commit these acts, what can you do? or wat can the authorities do? I thought we peasants need to be protected? if after so many evidence and chong still goes free, den it sends a clear signal tat anyone can scratch other peoples car
