Finally, a host that is not afraid of shooting the facts & at the guests. Really love the face expression when he corners the guests, Sembawang GRC MP & Propnex CEO,......Priceless. MPs really suck at their job, dun even knw wat he is talkin abt. Propnex CEO is really giving only "money face" answers.

Bt I m really skeptical that this show will last......This boy's is really rockin the guests hard. Catch it while its still hot.

they should make it at least a 1 hr show instead of only 30 min...

i think the MP quite pissed off after being interrupted repeatedly...

He cuts it short cos the guests are giving "taiji" lessons on national TV.....Thats y I call the expression......Priceless. [laugh][laugh][laugh] But of cos, he does have alot o room for improvement.

Yeah, one hour beta. That MP should b pissed or be pissed on.....Listening to his "taiji" answers are really painful to my already "slow" mind.

Yeah. Can see that he was refraining frm cursing that MP for giving non-intelligent answers........ [:p]

He was suggesting the soon-to-be marry lady to rent a place & wait for their property. Haahaha. That is really crap.

I have no issue at all if he cuts the guests short, but he needs to likewise hurry up a bit.

The problem is that Sporeans have the mentality that they must own a house simply because all their previous peers have it.

 

Furthermore the guest (the fat lady in red who is about to marry :o ), has a salary above 8K and she is complaining she can't buy HDB. Then surely she can look at private. But then she says private is too expensive and she can't afford. I am sure she can afford, just too picky (perhaps she wants a penthouse in Orchard). So what else can the MP suggest besides go rent lor?

I've quite a lot of friends who earn around 8-10k take home and find it quite hard to realistically buy private with that kind of earning. Sandwich class :) can't get HDB loans and perks, and can't really afford private. So, they have to look at the resale market.

 

Sure they could afford private after some belt tightening, because they have to think of kids expense, insurance, investment, but everyone wants to live comfortably and not worry so much about money.

IMO, a take home of 8-10k can afford a private, it's only the location and the size of the unit that matter. Obviously if you want a 3 bedroom unit at the Central area, you can't afford that at the current prices.

 

So one has to be realistic. Either you choose a less central location or a smaller unit.

 

However, if one want the best of everything, then rental is really the way to go. Wait till prices come down and then buy the one you want.
