[thumbsup] .

but sadly the current reality is the rich can buy health [smallcry]

the poor will suffer even with 1 small flu [bigcry]

yes. that, to me, is the biggest issue i have with genetic engineering.

should being wealthy then be used to engineer your intelligence, capabilities, and talent?

imo, the division between the haves and have-nots are beginning to sharpen....

Maybe he did not realize but he got it correct. Start saving is the first step in good financial planning. Any amount is good becoz as long as you are saving, you are not over-spending.

Think big, start small. Act dumb. :D

If i set aside $100 per month to invest in something. What would be a good way of making this $100 become $120 in the next month? Forex? penny stock?

Do note that i will not have time to monitor frequently.

Toto/4D, football dont count as investment <_<

Frankly, if you ask yourself the question "How can I make other people's money to work for me?" would lead you to riches faster. I mean legally. :D

Sadly just saving alone will also get us to no where. cause inflation seap in, money become smaller as the year gone by.

Plus saving of S$100.00 a month is a bit too little liao.personally i think we should try to save 25% of our monthly salary as a min.

25% is rather difficult, if you do no include CPF.

IF a person is making $4000/ month. Less CPF (Employee con) $800. Take home $3,200. So are you saying he save 25% of 3200 or 4000? which is $800 or $1000 repectively. meaning he is left with $2,200 or $2,400. Not really practical IMO.

What I am saying is saving is only the first step. When you can accumulate $$, then you can consider investments.

i mean after CPF. I think that sum is quite okay consider if he is marriaged with wife also working. Both earning power is similar, S$2200 or S$2400 is actually quite liveable if we are willing to cut back on some of the Luxery spending. forget to add. if 25% is a bit too hard at least save 500 if can afford. (assuming your 25% is more than S$500.00)

As for your last statement. I fully agree.

I think the next question is, how much we need to accumulate before investing??

u talking about investing so time frame longer..so nid more for holding power

to save 25%,is not hard ...especially dont have things that come monthly (not red colour one i mean [laugh] )

personally though, if we could only use $$ as the barometer, i'd think $50-100million lah.

1-2million net worth is meaningless. one lousy condo also worth 1-2 million.

10-20million gets you a GCB but with nothing leftover after that.

so smelly smelly 50-100M lah.

dont be mistaken though, i dont have 50, not even 5. but i'd gladly trade everything i own for the health of my family.

If have $20mil dont slurge it on a GCB lah.

Stay in very nice Semi D $5mil enough.

Or in very nice terrace $3mil enough.

Invest some, spend some, burn some.

good enough for a fair lifestyle

You very greedy leh, want $50mil. hahahahaahaha

Kids, car, utilities, parents, self expense.

Self expense $600/ mth

Utilities (starhub, phonebills, internet, powergas) $500/ mth

Car $1000/ mth

Parents $300/ mth

Already $2400 liao.

Kids?

btw, cpf caps at $4.5k. Even so, I think 25% of 5k or 4k is not easily achieved by the average Sinagaporean. ^_^

that is my though too. unless we are talking about single income family with maybe 3 kidz and a car. Then it might be a bit straining on the bread winner.

But the problem with current singaporean are their take in life.

You earn 5K you must live like a 5K person.
