Flyguy63 Neutral Newbie June 12, 2010 Share June 12, 2010 I am in a bind.Contractually my Mio Plan expires 7th July 2011.I was talked in to signing with the plan because I was told of the savings if I bundled it with my Broadband early last year.(I honestly didn't realise that the plan is for 30 months).I am sick and tired of Singtel because after almost 2 decades of loyal patronage, and mind you,I have NEVER once ask for a rebate or redemption of any kind from them, they steadfastly refuse to waive a $100/ penalty that I will incur I when I wanted to upgraded my phone.$100/....and they just outright plain refuse to waive it.So,cut to the chase,I have decided to jump ship to Starhub, lock, stock and barrel.I have 2 residential lines,2 mobile lines and Broadband from Singtel(am also a current Starhub Cable subscriber).I will incur a penalty of a total of about $1k(which I am willing to fork out to sever ties with Singtel),but if anyone have a better solution for me I will be most grateful.P.S. Do you guys think Starhub will offer me any incentives to offset abit of my Singtel penalties?Thank for listening guys. ↡ Advertisement
Kb27 Supersonic June 12, 2010 Share June 12, 2010 Don't jump bcoz you're angry. You will lose a lot due to contract. Just ride it out and then decide later. No other ISP will pay for your damage to jump. I have a contract with SingTel for mobilephone and I will patiently wait till 7 July 2010, then decide. Most likely, I will move to Starhub for Mot Milestone promotion.

Shull Turbocharged June 12, 2010 Share June 12, 2010 my mio 3mbps singtel is so much faster than my starhub 16mbps. for your consideration yeah..i dumped starhub internet for singtel 2yrs back..and never looked back since then...until now, they have never failed to deliver the 10mbps speed.. then last year, i bundle my broadband, homeline, handphone and mio home together and i get phone upgrades every 12mths without the $100 penalty, plus i get 15% off my total bill every month..and MIO home cost me nothing at all...
