How many times, COE can be renew?

is there any guideline about how many times, COE can be renew?

or can be renew as long as we want?

If renew 5 yrs,only one time is allowed.

If renew 10yrs,no limitation.

But problem is,can u find spare parts if your car coe is renew & renew again?

spare parts for old cars are not as difficult to find as most ppl think

speaking of which, goods vehicles have 20 year lifespan limit right? and i really never see any old van around.

Renew 2nd time ur paying 20-30k depending on COE for a 1-2k car. Think most ppl will juz spend another 20k for a new car.

Renew car: pay COE, forgo PARF (~50% OMV), lower insurance and higher road tax.

 

Buy new car: need to pay COE, 100% ARF, 40% Customs tax, GST and 20-50% sales commission.

another thing, new car can get loan, COE very hard.

If u renew ur COE, ur road tax will increase by 10% each year up to 50% more..

10 year COE renewal - Unlimited renewal. COE cost - Full PQP.

5 year COE renewal - No further renewal upon COE expiry. COE cost - 50% PQP

 

Renewing a COE has its merits depending on the car and owner.
